I like the epic challenging 40 man raids, because I am in a guild that can afford them, and we'll be having tons of fun with it. The rest is secondary.
PS: I'm fine with people being of the opinion that 40 man raids suck. To me they are the best thing a mmo has ever created. You just have accept that others have different tastes. Thank you.
My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.
Being able to see where the opponent is going to hit and being able to avoid them is very crucial in a skill-based combat. You are able to perform skillful plays depending on the environment/mindgames/jukes and the reactive CC system (in which you have to stay focused to get out of stuns sooner) provides a real potential for skilled gamers.
how to put this without being banned...you realise you made a PvE argument to support pvp?
so if you see where your opponent is going to hit, I assume he also sees where you are going to hit.
so how will you hit him?
You cant outrun the abilities just by moving most of the time, so they will hit if aimed properly. There's dodge but you cant spam it endlessly. Many of the abilities have a very big hit area, and goes off fast, so they will hit. Then comes variable into equation like is it a channel, will you eat all of it or can you dodge out for half of it etc.
The combat felt a lot better in the open beta than I expected, I was actually pretty sure I wont play the game because of the "stupid telegraphing system" but it's not so bad, it sure increases the skill level when you actually have the chance of dodging, or if you are not a good aim you could just simply miss abilities in fast paced pvp.
It has potential to be very fun game pvp and raiding wise, but DAYUMN the questing is boring as hell since I have no idea of the lore or the factions, and since there's no voice overs I will never learn anything about them because reading quest text and npc chat bubbles is sooo 10 years ago :P
If you need to give people reasons to try your game it means that folks don't have much interest.
Players interest is piqued by videos first and foremost these days not lists.
The reasons are not why people play games ever - its the overall fun factor for each person which cannot be put into a list.
Try the open beta, if fun people will play, if not they won't.
Yeah, video is good if it lists the features of the game. What am I supposed to get out of a video that shows 10 minutes of gameplay but I have no idea what kind of content and features the game has overall? Oh yeah, the guy in that video can list all of those things.
Also, I thought I wont even play the game because of telegraphs, that I saw on a video, but now that I tried the open beta, it's not nearly as bad as I thought. If anything, it increases the skill cap instead having guaranteed tab target hits, so the tele's are not very pretty to look at but can make the experience more rich gameplay wise.

Then why do you feel the need to give people reasons not to play the game? You say that on every WS thread, and somehow you have all the right to do that! Now , it is wrong if another person share 3 possible reasons to play WS?
Also, your attitude is below normal limits. The attitude I am talking about is that no matter what someone else says, you are always right. Even if someone comes with proves, real ones, no .. it doesn't matter, you are always right.
