Game would be good if...

dakotaaoc08dakotaaoc08 Member UncommonPosts: 77

My fps would go above 10.

I have tried everything but 10 fps is unplayable, this is the only game I have played recently with such a low fps, and with just a little over two weeks to launch I can't imagine this being fixed in time.

Agreed. When the horribly implemented (and patched together with the coding equivalents of duct tape and string) version of the Hero engine in SWTOR is smoother than your own engine, there's a big freaking problem.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

kind leaves me a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to Wildstar.

Be careful, you might get flagged and have your account banned for 'trolling' like I almost did a day ago for saying how bad wildstar is optimized and has the worst fps in history.

Quoted for truth ! mmorpg.com staff has lately start to ban people like we are in a Warplot , naked, with no armor's and they have the big bam kinky stuffs.

The Ice is dark and full of terror.

Game is good. My rig runs it fine. It doesn't make it bad that you can't run it properly. It just makes you unlucky.

You could wait until they've fixed the optimization needed for your rig but I guess posting about it on mmorpg is easier.

I've had the same experience in beta... I run most games just fine, but Wildstar was extremely poor for performance on my machine (unlike every other game).  Hopefully just a technical issue they'll sort out.

I didn't actually like playing wildstar, but it ran incredibly smoothly for me, even streaming it barely noticed a dip in performance running on a 560ti

Give it some time, It's always hard to make things work on all possible configurations.

Oh can I play the Game would be good if...... game?

    1. The Graphical quality was similar to ESO or Dark Souls 2.
    2. The combat was full fledged Reticule mouse to turn, left and right mouse button to initiate attacks
    3. There was a whole lot of sand to mess with

Those are my only gripes about the game currently.

Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

I whole heartedly agree. In fact this should just be a rule of thumb for people playing MMO's. It's pretty much common sense to MMO veterans. You have to expect for things to run like crap at first. Expect the worst, hope for the best, then you can't be surprised or disappointed.

I'm not even playing the game, but I will always defend new MMO's when it comes to optimization at launch. They do the best they can with the majority, then work out the bugs as they are reported. It didn't run well for me either, but it was more some of the animations that are turning me off atm.

I'll definitely come back and check it out a few months after launch.

Early this week will be applied the first performance patch. Lets wait and see.

Anyway i m fine with my mediocre pc system, especially when i changed the original nameplates with BijiPlates addon and cleared the WS folder, but sure i m waiting for the performance boost as many others.

I'm still running an old HD6970, i5 processor, 16GB RAM. I get 30-50 FPS depending on what's going on.

they already said they are working on optimization issues or looking into it, something like that. Not sure if they patched it already but its not a "my pc is better than yours" thing here. Wildstar does have optimization issues and Carbine is aware of it.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet somewhere, but you can significantly improve your FPS by deleting everything in C:Users%username%AppDataRoamingNCSOFTWildStar folder.

This is because there's a lot of "debris" left in that folder from older versions of the UI. A lot of people I know got their FPS improved by 15-20. I myself play at 45-60 ranges 90% of the time, and I have a pretty old GPU capped to 60 FPS.

My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.

There's alot of things that could improve, but the FPS ain't a problem at all.

I was running the game in beta foor a couple month with a GTX660(nonTi) and an i5-3450 - a rather cheap $600 rig - and I was having no troubles getting 30+ FPS at all times in 1920x1080 with high settings.

People should really stop expecting good gaming-performance on integrated graphics or $400 laptops, etc. A $150-200 GPU is a necessity for playing FPS or 3PS games imho.

    I run a 6gb 7970 OC'ed on a 1440p display.

I have no framerate issues.  [mod edit]

  • Arachneus1Arachneus1 Member UncommonPosts: 248

I wonder if its just a certain brand of video cards or something that is causing some people to have such a horrible frame rate.  I have had no issues with framerate and on my computer it seems plenty optimized to play on.  That sucks that some people are having issues to play it and I hope they figure out what is causing the problem on those specific machines.

Edit: I am running a measly 4gb 6900 series AMD for my graphics, sure my processor may be pulling some of the weight i7-2600k

  • Devs are on it, but admit it will be a long and time-consuming task that will continue beyond launch.

The problem is they have to move a lot of code into threads, because the engine is CPU heavy and doesn't work well with multi-core hardware currently.

My advise is, if you have problems, wait until they claim it's done, check out the trial and if it works by then, maybe sub if the game interests you.

Is it again AMD processor vs. Intel processor issue like it was with GW2 and Planetside 2? GW2 and PS2 had framerate issues with (most? some?) AMD processors until it got patched and optimized better. Or is it just random?

I'm running the game fine but I just bought a new PC, after 17 years of running AMD I finally turned my coat and went intel instead, running with Nvidia GP though, dont think I'll ever change that, Nvidia has never failed me, not one bit ^^

  • Devs have stated they have seen no difference in performance between AMD or Intel.
