It is def not 1080. Display 5-inch 1280x720 (294 PPI) multi-touch retinal- quality display

Should of bought a I pad or a 1080 tablet. Or if you wanted a 5 inch screen a cell phone. My note 3 and I pad get 1080p gaming and it's fine. Nvidia ripped everyone off with that thing in my opion. That screen is junk compared to the new tablets and phones. Not to mention it looks terrible. You can put all those buttons and joy pads on the touch screen, so it doesn't look so crappy. Not to mention you can't do much with it, unlike a phone or tablet. Which works the same and you don't even need a over priced nvidia card.

Except virtual button and joysticks are awful....

The Shield has it's faults, however, the physical controls would be one of its benefits. I absolutely hate the screen space virtual buttons take up. That can even become a huge hindrance when a game wasn't built with this in mind.

With cloud technology and internet only becoming faster, its the best way to bring technology without all the hardware or heavy lifting.

Its a good use of technology, but firs a person needs a nice computer and internet connection to make good use of shield, and then to use it as a console requires extra tvs as well.

I find them a lot better than a real joystick. We'll I find them better than like a game pad joystick, they def don't beat a expensive flight joy stick. I can't play fps with a play station controller , but with this I can change the sensitivity and it works close to a mouse. We'll eq2 was def not built with a touch screen in mind, but it is a lot easier to play it one. Since you can controls hem alt 1 with one tap. And as for the screen they take up, that's just because u aren't use to it. Once you know where they are you can make them disappear.

Anyways I would much rather have a keyboard than a game pad, which all tablets and phones can have. If one is hell bent on a game pad, you can just buy one. I never had a shield , but from what I've seen the controller doesn't look any where near as good as a nice blue tooth game pad.

I just think its way over priced. A S galaxy 4 is way more useful than a nvida shield, as a phone. And has a better everything, minus that controller, but it looks like a crap controller to me.

Nvidia Shield TV will do 4K HDR.  I love both of mine.
