Just saw another "oh my Wildstar is soo hyping" thread and thought "maan, my AA is crawling up constantly".
Its just worth to mention, that AA surpassed titles like Wildstar, Black Dessert and Repop and the reason is, because it delivers.
We all have the chioce, to hype for ideas that maybe come together in a game anyhow - EQN a solid example - or we hype on what is there already, pretty good working in a game to play, not just good ideas ...
That might be the cause for the steady hype.
People are tiered of promises, anouncements and predictions.
Games should deliver and ArcheAge delivers best.
Give it a go when its available for everyone in the West, its worth it !

Don't get me wrong...I am really enjoying AA, but the reason BD and Repop aren't getting love is because the launches are far off. A year ago the posts were about AA on the decline because how far the launch was. Wildstar is garbage to the owpvper and I think the market is yearning for some sandbox elements and pvp elements. Wildstar pvp is silly and it's a themepark so it'll be steady, but don't expect major jumps or declines.

Lets hope it doesnt go P2W though. Thats the only thing that would ruin this game for me. But its trion. They been in business for awhile now and have had a great F2P model from what I hear.
Also they need to make sure they have enough servers open so that overcrowding is not an issue and allow servers that have tons of people to have some kind of way to have land without fighting for it all the time.
I think if they work on make sure these are hashed away that it will be a very successful game, tons of subscriptions, and a long life ahead. Even now I still want to pay the $150 for the alpha everytime I watch streams of it. But I think im going to hold off for the beta.
I've been watching AA since they released the Korean version and saw some YT videos.
Although its classic combat the rest seems very entertaining. I hope it kinda has the feel I had when I played EQ1. But I also eagerly await EQN hehe.
And news on what the plans are for Closed Beta, Open Beta and so forth?

That is, because they announced the Beta for June - next month - also with open Beta Weekends.
