I like to solo, so what's a good MMORPG for me? I already have Guild Wars, but it really isn't a MMORPG. Still fun, but just not the same! I've played Anarchy Online, it was okay but it kind of forces parties onto you if you ever want good equipement/weapons/nanos. I've played Lineage II which was good as far as soloing goes. At least on the server I was playing on (non official so it had better drop rates, I quit though when I found out it was illegal), I don't know if the real ones would be good for solo play though...
I know some will say "If you like to solo, why get a MMORPG? Just get a regular RPG." and the answer is I haven't found many good single player ones! What can I say, I like the online ones Neverwinter Nights was good, but I've beaten it too many times to ever play it again. Some console ones are good too for like the PS2 (The Final Fantasy series of course) but again I'd like a computer one :P
What are you're thoughts? And how much do they cost per month?

All mmorpgs will force you into groups, except for some games with select classes. I would try WoW, since you can solo throughout the whole game.

Agreed. I'm not the biggest fan of WoW, but it is a very solo-friendly game most of the way. Once you've reached level 60, however, grouping is compulsory for the end-game instances.

i got one to 40 grouping 12 times total.

Until level 40+, CoH beat any other game as far as solo is concerned, as long as you play a scrapper or a blaster and enjoy that way of playing. A controller will solo better then those 2, eventually, after MANY levels.
After level 40, you will see a clear need for groups, yet you can live without it(like in WoW, yet it only strike you at level 40, unlike WoW where a grouper get everything better then a soloer from level 1). You need to group for accolades(which is a variation of ''gear'', yet much less complete then ''gear'') at around level 40 you cant solo them anymore, while pre-40, you can solo any accolade you want.
At level 50, you will see that you ''need'' to raid the Hamidon or quit. You should just quit there, even if you are a raider, because raiding endlessly the Hamidon is enought to make anyone goes totally bored.
CoH have the sames flaws that WoW or EQ have, it is just starting past 40 and at a rate that does 2 cant even dream to compare from a soloer point of view.
Yet yes, if you ''need'' to be the best soloer in the game, CoH will leave the same taste that WoW or EQ leave in your mouth...it is just that you only have the taste of it, while playing WoW you would have a full bite in your mouth and with EQ the mouth would be filled with it and impossible to breath.
