hes right about Trial chat, & global most of the time. it sure is vile and full of trolling and disrespectful wordplay. i did not turn it off for the sole purpose of seeing how the current Alpha community develops. and my conclusion so far is quite appaling. if the community is this bad it might turn worse come f2p when the game is open worldwide. maybe it will calm down, maybe it should be monitored, but well see in the future how it goes.

And that it has no raiding. Another dev team cheapo production towards endgame. Just trash the players together and let them kill at each other when they max level - there's ur endgame. Oh add a boss respawn too that 100 players can hack n slash at while watching your fav thing on tv.
Nah il pass. Every game that has no endgame shows the dev teams lack of commitment to the actual game and they just want to make money off the levelling process.
That is why most games come with pvp now as it's easy to do.
Raiding is not the only "end game" that exist. Just because its what you like, and nothing wrong with that, doesnt mean other games not focus in raiding dont have that funny sentence "end game".
AA is about craft, conquer and rule, so no, instance raiding is not need it here.
You dont like the game, im sure your not alone, but calling AA a cheap production dont make any sense.
And if you hate pvp why bother posting about games with pvp inside, shouldnt you be looking for a exclusive pve raiding game?

I Havnt seen any successful MMO that is still going well without raiding.
SWG did fine without raiding as did UO, sandboxes don't need that to succeed, they need good ecology at elder levels of play. Elder play in a sandbox is about community/enemy building and player ownership.

All non raiding endgame mmos are empty and dead at the "endgame"
Hmmm mmos doing well with raids:
Wow (after all these years) EQ (still after all these years) Rift Eq2 (still going well at endgame) Final fantasy realm reborn (hugely popular)
Games dieing and have no raiding but have some alternative endgame.
Lotro (stopped creating raids 2013 mass exodus of players followed - including me after 6years) Gw2 - get to max level then players leave due to nothing to do. ESO - odd end game that they are mustering up Archage (played on Russian servers not a lot happening at max lvl at all most my guild didn't even logon for days after reaching max.)
You see the picture,? It's probably why aa is on a f2p when it's released here as they know they won't be Making raids and if it was sub most people won't play.
It's all great levelling up adventuring dreaming... And most games are great at this But at the end game is what matters to this that invest time.
I will try again to explain.
You like raiding focus games, thats fine but doesnt mean every game need to focus in that because there is players who dont want to focus on raiding.
There is games focus on raiding, there are games focus in other things like AA.
AA main focus is territory control, sea control, claim land in pvp zones, craft castles and rule, defend or attack others territorys. Its about having Power in a open world, guild rules, etc.
For what im looking for in a game i have atm AA, for those who like to raiding theres allreayd a few games out and more will come.
Its nice to have choices, you choose your raiding game, i choose my non-raiding game and we are all happy.
Originally posted by Vivasvan It works be best to have all this and raiding. But the reason they do put raiding in is because they want don't want to invest in the product.
U could just play AA Or ESO or gw2. They are happy giving you levelling and pvp (which is a developers easy shortcut without putting time into a thoughtful endgame which will keep players .
I personally wouldn't want to play a game where even the devs can't be bothered to make a complete game.
Mmorpg heart of the game is raids. Pvp is a side thing always has been.
What's happening now is there are various companies making incomplete mmorpg they give u levelling they give u pvp and that's it. And then they want to make money off you.
Personally I wouldn't touch a subpar game of support the devs that churn this crap out into the MMO market.
If an MMO is made and it has no raids it's a half complete MMO and if ur happy with spending ur time and money on it.. So be it.
I just like to have more for my money.
AA, ESO and GW2 is not on same boat for me.
Play GW2 a little, not what im looking for.
ESO, 2 betas and not even close.
AA is the closest i can get atm what i looking in a mmorpg: Open world features where players behave have impact in the world, a game there is not only a chat room of solo or co-op players, i can have fun in that games too but only in short run.
AA is a diferent path for what we have be see in last years in my opinion and i hope more will come in future.
I have fun in instances mini-games too, not saying that, i just ask a game not focus in that, where the core is about conquer territorys, control, craft and build stuff, all this in same "instance" but still viable to casual players. I only feel immersion in a game if the other players activity interfear with my game play, even when sometimes is not in a good way.
But its ok, your control quality about a mmorpg is mesured by the raiding quality, i get that, my quality control use diferent features

The fact it has taken this long to launch this game in the US/EU is sad. This is not a build form the ground up. This is a pre-existing game that they are translating (for the most part)!! The mechanics of this game have been tested already.

Considering AA doesnt really focus on end game and more of a living breathing world I would say you missed the whole point of a Sandbox. the game starts at top level unlike other games where you log on ..grind your dailies grind your dungeons over and over and over in AA you can build a castle or a ship,Treasure hunt,Bounty hunt,Build a farm,Craft almost anything,be a thief, raise animals, go to war, run a dungeon, hunt the many world bosses (KRAKEN!) explore the land, look for ship wreaks, be a merch, Start a Guild war, start a trade route ...etc etc and thats just a few of the things you can do in this wonderful game.
But im sure logging on doing your dailies running your dungeon and well..thats it see you tomorrow games are for you .
This game if compared to WS deserves a million times more hype and players,it looks good although does do some seriously bad hand holding that i don't like but so does WS.
If i was comparing the 3 newest games AA would be 1 TESO 2 and WS not even worth a look.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I agree the `to market`has been sad but that was more a lack of publishers willing to step up or decent ones that the developer deemed worthy enough of handling the game. Also if paying attention one would have noticed that Trion did VERY little to get the ball rolling for AA,they kept totally hidden from the scene for several months after acquiring the publishing rights.
We can only guess, perhaps they were still working out the contract particulars,i really don`t know but it was not handled in a good way by Trion.
This game is still a MUCH better product than we have seen from releases over the past many years,it is near the top of the heap.

DAOC did fine without a single raid. Seems like most of the nerwer MMO's that have raiding are falling flat on their ass also. I wonder if people are tired of the same old end game that has been the staple of most MMO's since 1999 and EQ1. Anyway AA has a similar concept with the Northern continent. Faction controlled land that has a abundance of resources being fought over by 4 factions.

Hey look another carrot on a stick player !!! Hello sir ! you know that endgame in sandparks are up to the players right ? Not a developers holding your hand and show you where the little kids can play with lego.
There are tons of themepark failures already, and after playing this mmo i realy dont miss the carrot on a stick crap. Not a fucking single minute passed by with me being bored.
