They took a beautiful game and ruined it. Just why?

Guild Wars 1 is still here and pretty much kicking

But I've played it for too many hours. I already know everything in GW1 :D

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

    3. GvG (Seriously!!! It's called Guild Wars for a reason! How could you leave this out?!!?!)

Honestly, I think we have given them enough time to do those things.  Screw all this small temp crap and give us actual permanent content.  I have played GW games since the start of the original Guild Wars and I still say that one was better in terms of content and player satisfaction.

Same here.  I'd also like to see them redo the Main Weapon skills to give players a choice.  As much emphasis as they put on the secondary talents they need to do the same with weapon skills.

Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

    OP

"now that things are on the mend"   ?

The game has slid to #8 on XFIRE

I gave up on thinking they had any interest in making WvW  anything more than an extended pvp match over a year ago.

I wonder how long they think they can stretch it out without adding more weapon skills to the same weapon. 3 full years... 5?

It baffles me when I see weak players speaking about Gw2. In case you didn't know, the power of your character doesn't come from its active skills. Yes that is correct. A suitably traited character and a person that knows what he has traited beats any noob traited weapon/class combination.

You need to quickly run away and your skills are under cooldown? Oh wait, here, I have stealth when I take falling damage - *jumps off of cliff* - see what I did there? Or you can dodge roll to get some extra healing which would be enough until your skills recharge! Or you can trait your shield to reflect projectiles instead of absorbing them. Or you can do that special little trigger that gives you protection, which would mitigate huge deal of your incoming damage. And countless more examples in the 200+ traits in the game. You don't need a slot for everything, just logic. And I'm sorry to hear that so many of you couldn't make it work :( That would definitely prevent any future developer to create games that actually make you think. A really sad day.

All you have to do in Gw2 to be successful is to use your brain. I suppose in the 3-bar hotskill bar some of you may have lost it. It's quite pity

The Living Story has neither been living nor much story. It has easily been the worst development system for any MMO, I have seen, so a second run won't get me back. I play games because of their good content and not because they are free to play.

Give Tyria a real sound expansion and we might see what will happen. The second part of the repetitive grindfest called LS will not get so much players from moving to Wildstar anyway (which I won't - Wildstar is not for me).

So we forget the fact that the landscape and encounters of many maps was changed forever as a direct result of the living story. Not to mention the main player hub being destroyed in the process? Nah, nothing happened really.....

Oh and um, we turn blind eye to the maguuma wastes being added within a month's time as a new map? Yeah such poor living world....

Oh, hello in another thread with similar situation :D.

First - being much of a story or not, have nothing to do with changes on maps and destroying city :P. Lot of stuff happened, problem is that lot of stuff is happening in every soap opera episode. Heck! Have You ever seen an episode of Power Rangers? Story wasn't the strongest part of LS, but still it was better than narration of this story (considerably better in later episodes, but still below typical to Anet level).

As for the second part - once again You count into pros, things that are not added yet. It's about time Anet add something to game, that one of best aspects was exploration... It's so easy to give prise or bash things that ain't here yet, so they can't defend themselves. As for now - the only land added was southsun cove, it was before LS and in my opinion it's worst map in GW2. But- gustibus non est disputandum.
