After almost 11hours I cannot login to even play! Google authenticating worked once for me and will not work again. It has also been this long to get a support ticket answered.
So OP, your lucky you got to play the game I want to play but can't.
Carbine and NCsoft this has not been a smooth launch.
Originally posted by Vaske1984 Hey i am just saying my thoughts about the game, i spent 5 euros because i wanted to try it before deciding on buying or passing.
How can you judge an MMO on the first few solo levels, if that part is just the intmezzo and learning school for the endgame dungeons, raids and PvP...
everyone knows by now that an MMo is much more then the first ten levels...
See you soon, when everyone starts drooling at the endgame and the monthly new content of this game...
If you don't like a game from the start you're not going to drag yourself through X levels to reach end game just to see if you like doing raids. if the game combat, movement, character models etc is not your cup of tea then save yourself the pain.
But to the OP, as others have said if you did no research then it was your own fault.
So few days ago i decided to buy pre-order so i can start 3 days earlier so i can try the game out and i was hoping that this will finally be that mmo that i need/want to play for a long time.
After 8 straight hours of playing i have uninstalled the game, quests are same as always, combat is nothing new or special, i never tried dungeons or pvp but what i really wanted was a different kind of game than just same old story with nothing new about it
"i never actually bought or played the game, i just want to jump on the hatewagon."
dont even... just dont. you arent fooling anyone. its pathetic.
Wildstar does a lot of things fairly well. However, it doesn't bring anything new to the table in terms of overall MMO features. Unfortunately, it sounds like the OP got caught up in the pre-release hype and bought in, desperate to find a new MMO to call home

Stop trolling my post, just because i did not like the game does not mean others should not try it or play it.....I NEVER said that people should quit playing or not buy it......

This is quite different I believe. Everyone I know personally who bought into alpha had already known what the game was all about, and then made a decision. Myself Included. 150 dollars is a lot just to throw down the drain for an alpha you don't know anything about. The OP went in very blindly for 5 euros and didn't need to because the information on WS is out there, and we even had a chance to play it.
Yea the op went in blindly with 5 euro. 5 whole fucking euro he wasted when he could have purchased an entire sandwich and ate it. What if he didn't waste that large sum of money that is 5 euro and instead purchased a new sandwich with for the first time, and did t like it! Oh hells no you should have joined that sandwich beta, what a fool.

Except he doesn't say he spent a mere 5 Euros until a bit later in the thread. Since there was a point where pre-orders were more, it isn't surprising that people would think "why would you spend money on something you you didn't know about". Which seems to be a nice theme that runs through the lives of many "gamers". Had he said "I spent 5 Euros" off the bat, he probably wouldn't have been questioned about the purchasing and more about "time spent".
Additionally, he indicates that "quests are same as always, combat is nothing new or special, i never tried dungeons or pvp but what i really wanted was a different kind of game than just same old story with nothing new about it". Which, though it is true the doesn't say he dislikes these things, makes it seem hard to understand why he didn't just do his research.
So in the end, a better post would have been "I fell into the hype and though I only spent 5 Euros for pre-order, I should have done my research as I discovered that the game really does nothing new. I did spend 8 hours playing but at no time was I hooked. I suppose next time I should just know better and not get caught up in the excitement".
Of course then people would say "why are you telling us?"
So once again, we have a mmorpg.com thread where players have to coax the actual truth of the matter out of the poster because as it stands, it's "much ado about nothing".

The post I quoted says he spent 5 euro. The guy that responded to the OP says and quotes the 5 euro. I was obviously speaking on the comparison of the 150$ to get in an alpha vs the 5 euro per order. You are acting like I am taking the post I quoted out of context, which I did not.

ah I see your point, apologies, I misunderstood your post because you said "some of these posts" as opposed to "this post", indicating you were commenting on more than just the post you quoted.

Yes, I would hope most would have played the game earlier and had some understanding what ArcheAge was before paying 150. Not sure how many but I did see a couple of posts from players who had blindly spent 150 on the game and was thinking about those people. I advise everyone to try a game regardless of the price tag!
When you people DO get a game thats different, ya rage that its not good enough, when ya get a game that has everything ya like, ya rage that its more of the same....... people hate anything they put out anymore, no game is good enough, just stop playing mmo's and find something else to rage about
Got in after an hour in q, saw a gold spammer in the tutorial ship, tried to report, crashed my game. Can no longer connect to the patch client. Carbine you're so pro.

Good job doing some homework before you bought it. /shrug There were betas you could have tried in and not wasted any money. Ton's of videos out there.
It amazes me how people just buy something and don't actually check it out before they get it.
I agree with the entire beta and maybe youtube thing before buying. The last thing you want to do though is actually listen to the naysayers on this forum however.
Sigh....and now i really want to play WS when i uninstalled it LOL.....thank god i have R-Studio and i just undeleted it, ok lets give it another go rofl!
