I am having problems finding the items to scan . I spent like 30 minutes in the relic room alone and the asteroid the last scan I cannot find the thing to scan. I think I will remake my toon to take explorer or soldier although the bot is cute the scientist is going to be frustrating for me. I am not cut out to be a scientist.

Heh... personally I didn't have problems finding them. Though sometimes you have to look really well.. it's part of the fun.
In fact I'll be leveling my alt as a scientist so that I can find out as much lore as possible for the game.
Explorer is very fun... I highly recommend it.
..Cake..
Before you do though, make sure its not against the terms of the EULA, and also that it is not malware, as they are the most common target for injecting keyloggers etc into your system.
Yeah, it's fine to use it. The guy at Carbine who designed the UI was sitting next to Frost in one of the DevSpeaks and mentioned that he was asked about an add-on that automatically did the Simon-type puzzles for you, and he said he was totally fine with it. They put things into the game to be fun, and if people don't find them fun he's more than happy that there are workarounds available. About the only thing you're not allowed to do is bot.
EDIT: Here's the video, if anyone's interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvbIwX49HUk
Stop saying this nonsense, addons will not get you banned, they can only do what the developers have made available to you.
If an addon is created that uses that functionality in a way that the devs couldn't imagine, then that functionality might be changed, it will never lead to the banning of users though.. That would just be silly..
Curse is safe to use for addons, their client is very nice since it installs/updates automatically.
SO the Curse client supports WS? You don't have to do it manually?
You download the Curse client, tell it where the game directory is, download the add-ons you want (either from the website or the client itself), tell it you want to auto-update, and that's pretty much it. It installs the mods, checks for updates, uninstalls the mods when you want them gone, whatever you want. It's pretty easy to configure.
