I love this game to its fullest, But I do know its flaws and its problems, so here it goes.
Ill be ranking the game on a few things: Fun, Graphics, PvP, PvE, RP, community, customer support and "polish".
Fun: The game is very fun, for the first few hours. Everything that you do in the game thats new was well implemented, but WAY overused. The only thing I still find fun in the game is new interlock styles, PvP, and roleplaying. Which would rank the game at: 6/10
Graphics: Amazing quality. There are a few bugs where you can see through your whole body if you zoom into the head area. But overall the graphics are superb and top notch. you just need a whole lotta ram to see them. I give graphics a 8/10.
PvP: Terrible... terribly fun. Well, both. Hackers win 99% of the time. every zion faction is 99% hackers, 1% noob. (joking). So you normally get hackers vs hackers battles which generally are a snooze fest. and operative vs operative batlles are lame fests when you face that kung fu master who spams machine gun fist and misdirect punch. But, constructs house players who want to fight and get the best loot in the game. And, there is some great pvp at 30-. and then at 40+. not much inbetween there but l337 hackers. PvP for me, is a 5/10.
PvE: Ugh. I hope that word tells you about it. Grind fests with the missions that youve done 100 times. the different types of mobs are very well though out though, and I rarely see two of the same models of zion gunslingers/hackers/ whatever in a mission grind. However, what does give it points is you can choose between three sides to do missions. And the interlock system is top notch. It is however really easy to do hard missions, which should be HARD. ((Let me take that back, Its easy if you know what your doing, which I guess should be correct)) PvE: 6/10 ((damn, interlock helped that score out a lot.))
RP: Top notch. Best Roleplaying ive ever seen in a game. ((except for maybe SWG, but I never personally experienced the RP'ing there on a daily basis as I do here)) The roleplaying is even helped out by actors who play the main characters, Including agents! sweet! 10/10. easily.
Community: Another great thing with this game. the people who actually play it have fun and are really nice. dont be fooled by the public forums, go to the server ones. They are much nicer. Not much to say about the community becuase its just so perfect. however it only gets 8 out of 10 becuase EVERYONE wants to be the next neo, which is pretty gay, and all the neo nubs want you to mission with them so they level up faster. 8/10.
Customer support: Easy pickings for trolls. "What! I have to actually talk to someone to cancel my account? but im so shy and nerdy" Who cares? You just call them and cancel. Its not a big deal. However, Having to wait 2 work days for problems to be fixed are generally bad. and they give you ass hat answers. 5/10
Polish: With the latest patch, its polish has never been higher. There are still a few bugs, but they fixed 99% of bodies re falling over, w00t. Interlock is very well done and exciting. However, the bugs are game stopping and there are still around 2. 7/10.
Which give it a general score of a 6.25 by me. But hell, I still love the game, untill maybe AA comes out .
Overview, the game has great rp and community aspects with bad grinding and unbalanced pvp.

Pretty accurate review, although I never really had that much trouble with the hackers, unless they cluster together on a roof-top.
The thing that finally made me put the game away for a while was the damn factionless bug....and not being able to play 3 out of four days due to said bug and the crashes that go with it.
IMO, Hackers need to be nerfed, and all teh damn "special effects" (flaming hands, hyper-speed blur, etc) need to be GONE. We need more interesting loot and items, the crafting system needs an over-haul (add effects to ANY piece of clothing), we need vehicles and melee weapons, more areas of the city, and a more Matrix feel to the game.
Maybe add the ability for Agents to hyper-jump, and /or nerf Hyper-jump so that running from mobs/agents isn't such an easy thing to do.
I'll give them some time to work on teh game, and see what it ends up playing like. Loved the game, really, but I just got too frustrated/bored after a while.
When a game feels like work, it's time to find another game, IMO.
i feel the same an of missions as a machine op i cant tell you how many times i fought the same mobs
(i hope i never see another nightmare for the rest of my life)
once you hit 26 in kung fu missions become a joke.
pvp with rez'ers in the mix becomes a who gets bored first an quits (non hostile serv)
i droped out due to bug's an junk not worth going into i would give it a year an come back dont get me wrong its great jus to soon of a buggy release to get my $$.
You said it, man.
I'd probably agree to most of that, except for RP, which I'd rate a 2. To me, you can't RP without being able to affect the gameworld, and except for PvP/E, you can't. It's true that few other MMOGs let you do that either (I give Eve a 3), and at least it has a storyline, which is why I didn't give it a 1. On the other hand, the storyline is 100% scripted from my viewpoint, so very little kudos there.
Anyone who wants RP, go to a MUSH, or maybe a MUD. I've given up MxO and Eve for a MUSH, and the RP is amazing.
you can't make me swap my computer for a calculator, man. Just because your in control of the math doesn't make it fun.
I personally rate RP against the absolute scale that 10=the RPing I could do in a face-to-face RP game. I'm looking for good RP, not which MMOG gives me the least gimped version. In this scale, the best I'd give any MMOG is probably a 3. The best MUDs probably get around a 5-6, and the best MUSHes around 5-8.
So what do I mean about a good RP environment? One where I interact with the game in a way that is realistic to the character, and where the game is affected by the character's actions. In both these regards, MxO falls pretty flat to me.
tried EQ2 yet? Player actions are crucial to the entire server they play on.....IF you get into the raid thing. The plague on Anotonia Bayle server was ended by a raid group (or two?), and the Froggies can be unlocked server-wide if a successful raid is pulled off on their captor. (as it is now, each person has to perform a quest to unlock teh race for themselves)
I'm enjoying some great RP in this game, part of it being enhanced by people who play ogres & trolls, etc and really play it up. (bad ogre!! Don't eat the healer!!!)
It has that great AD&D feel to me...makes me miss the old days of rolling dice...
