It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
I beta tested this game for a long time and there were things that just really annoyed me. Mostly little things but still drove me insane and made me not want to play. I didn't buy the game but my friend gave me one of his trial keys and I rolled a new toon.
The god damn chat screen font size is still broken!!!!! I click small, nothing, medium, nothing, large, NOTHING! I play on a big ass television with the UI scale turned completely down because the UI is hideous and takes up most of the screen even at max resolution. But then I can't read the damn chat box because for some freakin reason Carbine thought it wasn't necessary to add separate scale sliders for different parts of the UI.
So I go to turn up the font size on my chat so I can actually read it without having my face pressed against the TV and the fucking thing is still broken from beta. Made me want to instantly smash my face through a wall. Not only that but every nameplate in the game is also attached to the UI Scale so every mob and every player's name is about the size of a grain of sand.
So I turn the UI Scale up to see it then the god damn ugly ass action bar eats half the screen. Turn it to On in Combat Only and it's cool then I fight something and the screen explodes. Raining fury all over my mind!

This is common of all MMOs. UI always take a back seat till everything is working. Carbine was smart enough to let add ons be 100% supported. Changing the UI is all in the gamers hands. Go see if any here make your life less painful.

EDIT: Also if you just patched your client over reinstalling it. There are some problems they have found with that. Best to uninstall it all and start with a fresh client. As the post above said they were able to do what you could not.
You're an angel! I downloaded the addon that scales individual ui parts, can hide and move all parts, and the addon that fixes the chat bugs. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Curse will be one of your favourite sites for this game.
I recommend the Steer and Keybindfreedom addons, you can bind your mouse 1 and 2, and use your mouse to move the camera making it more like Fable combat or something along those lines.

Glad you found something that worked =-)
You said it already "the little things" an educated guess would be that the more important game breaking issues are being addressed first, and then maybe just maybe the smaller less urgent problems will get seen to in time.
However we all know what happens to those bug lists, they get longer and the smaller issues get pushed down the list each patch, it just needs the playerbase to keep Carbines eye on the ball and for us to keep reminding them what bugs are still to be squashed, even if it seems like there isn't anything being done, we all know fully well just how much effort goes into making an MMO, and a good solid one takes even more effort to make sure things are fixed, without causing further issues in the meantime.
I used to play on a 40" LED TV, and I understand your problem, then again my son came back from UNI and wanted his TV back so I had to get myself something, ended up with a 29" ultra widescreen monitor, does a lovely job.
