Slow leveling advantages...

While many people complain at the slow leveling in the  veteran zones, i personally really love the pace.....

Why?

because it actually gives gearing up while leveling some sense...  Getting all V4 armor and using it for days real time makes spending time on crafting usefull...

they should never have added the normal levels and instead have released the game with 15 levels...

But then i guess not many will agree, as it is far from the usuall path of instant gratification, but it would have made the whole experience more authentic...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Interesting, but look at how much screaming has been done about what they are doing? Having no "normal" levels would have had younger players throwing themselves onto their joysticks. :D

It is a balance, TESO have not done the balance perfectly, but then I did not think we were getting a MMO designed by the gods. (sorry in game joke there) They have struck a good balance, it just needs a lot of tweaking, not a major overhaul.

The problem is not the pace really. The problem is what that content is. I mean why should I really go through it since it is leveling content just scaled to level 50. I can just roll another character and do it, and I can do it in more fun way in that case.

The truth is that veteran stuff could be even slower really, no problem here. But other than that the only thing that it really offers to character are skyshards and some more gear. And that's it. For the rest I can reroll and have it anyway.

Ok, some can say Craglorn but then is really a single zone (no matter how fun it is) enough to keep players busy with vet content? I strongly doubt it is.

Also add to this the fact that leveling means pretty much questing and quest / zone design in TESO makes it just another fun on rails even if it is hardly noticeable while doing level 1-50 stuff.
