    Hope responded only those that actually play(ed) game. :-) Headstart was turbolent, rarely have been so angry, ... but now I'm enjoying in full and past is forgotten. :-)

    I played only the beta, but didn't like it.

    To me:

    - the world felt a bit "empty", static and quiet (that's what fully voiced games and dynamic events did to me),

    - the quests system and quests themselves are "deja vu" (that's what WoW did to me),

    - I didn't have that "itch" to explore their world (probably because their starting area is awful, but for example I felt more like exploring in ESO although ESO levelling system doesn't allow it either...).

     

    At the moment, I am taking a break from MMORPGs and I'm playing strategy games instead.

    This makes me realise how shallow most MMORPGs are, and how they have become mainly "arcade action games", ignoring completely the RPG side of things (I am excluding RP-interactions with other players, as by that standard Call Of Duty would be a soldier-RPG).

    I am simply amazed by this game.  Totally out of left field really!

    Suddenly got board of FFXIV and this gem arrives :)  What an 

    amazing world, captivating combat...  Yeah was not expecting 

    this at all.

    I was really hyped about it for more than a year. Then it hit beta, I got in, I got out. Came back for later betas, still keep up to speed on news concerning the game mainly for a friend who plays it, but I will not play it for a few reasons that make me dislike it:

    1. The leveling phase a a bad mix between a classic WoW system and a GW2 system. Yet they exploited this very poorly... I think the thing that bothers me the most is that in 2014 I still have to get to a dude, read his text, go kill something pick up something or talk to someone who'll have me do something similare, than go back to the first dude to end the quest. This is a futuristic universe and you're telling me they don't use some sort of long distance communication??? Even the items you must collect for your quests should be sendable to the npc instead of having to bring them there yourself...
    2. There is no voice-over! When I say WoW like quest, this is my main reproach. Even ESO has voice-over although it's a crappy MMORPG ! I mean come on... They've been working on this game for so many years and yet they didn't feel the need to get full voice-over?
    3. It is not at all as fun as the Devspeaks would let you believe. What makes the devspeaks what they are is the humour put into them. The game in itself is just a near brainless repetition.
    4. What's wrong with your CC guys? I mean... if you implement the possibility to shake off CC, then don't make it that hard to do! I remember the first time I was stunned in this game... first it wasn't that striking, then I was smashing E for a few seconds... So if you don't shake it off how long does it last? forever?
    5. Altaholics like me should stay away from this game. The leveling will be the same with all characters of a faction. Plus you just won't feel satisfied by this game since most of the time altaholics appreciate variety and versatility in a single character, at least graphically. Well... You have your one weapon and you'll have to stick to it! Quite a shame since they did a good job with their wardrobe/costume/transmog system :/
    6. The combat system is... hurting. Yes it is good to be able to hit whatever crosses your weapon's path. Yet it can become fairly frustrating in PVP.  Now a lot of you, and even I, will say this is a matter of skill. And I totally agree with you (and me)! but this is really stupid and gives for painful pvp as melee players.
    I'm not sure that covers it all, but it's already a start.

    I love the style and the humor that are in it.  Unlike many launches there is TONs to do.  I hadn't followed it or played in the Beta and I'm really pleasantly surprised.  Lots of fun so far.

    i'd say it is a good game with solid features and nice feel to it.

    yet my many years of gaming takes the toll and i did burn out on it as i knew i would.

    if not for that i would really been addicted to it for long time.

    by no means one shouldn't give it a try.

    I'm still undecided. And my 7 day trial runs out in the morning! So I better make up my mind. I think it's very polished and has plenty of content. It's far from being my ideal MMO however, favouring more realistic and sandboxy games. I think Wildstar has a bright future though. It might not even go F2P in the foreseeable future!

    Content. It has it for all types of play styles, solo, crafting, raiding, PvP and its well done. Nothing overly new but done in Carbines way. So it feels fresh. Also the game has polish. As a gamer this game makes me sad, that all it takes is a good game to get us worked up. By my standards I would say its a solid 8 but after eating years of badly done games, WS feels like a 9.5.

    The path system adds a ton of unique content in the open world. Im constantly discovering new cool things as a settler. I will log in and head out to do a quest or farm some lumber, next thing im uncovering a cave or fortifying a base, which leads to some quest chain or a new area to explore, which opens up a jumping puzzle, which uncovers a new resource...it just never ends. next thing i know its time for bed and i forgot what my initial reason for logging in was lol

    Lol exact same for me, found a big cave last night and had to force myself to logoff :). It's the first mmo since wow where I've not looked at my xp bar, or had a niggle about world size (wildstar is feckin massive). Solid 9 here, only down side is music is not my cup of tea, and another 5 fps of optimisation would not hurt.

    I voted "yes", I do like it, and it comes with many "buts".

    I think that the optimization is not very good. In the first few starter areas I had few problems except with some snail mobs that when killed would inexplicably freeze up my computer. Since hitting areas with more particle effects, I find that the game runs like a slug. I have turned those effects down and there has been no improvement at all in my fps so I am thinking that this might not be entirely the fault of my computer, which can run pretty hefty particle effects in other recent games. Plus, turning down graphics does not seem to have the desired effect of increased performance, in fact there is no difference in whether I run the game at low or medium settings. That has me going "huh"?

    Out of all of the classes I have tried so far only one has seemed a little bit unique and that is the Esper. I find that the classes are overall pretty generic and lack a hook. Despite the fact that the Esper handles a bit differently from other spell caster/healers I have played, I do not care for its mechanics. I am playing the game on an Engineer, which is pretty fun but again nothing really that special.

    I am also ironically not that fond of the crafting. It is better than WoW's for sure but it is still not there yet. Yes, the items one can make are pretty good, but I find the actual crafting part a bit tedious and pretty darned expensive at low level. If you want to craft 10 swords, say, you have to tweek the stats of each and every single one of them and that can get annoying. So I guess I should say that the issue I have with it is more with the UI than with the actual crafting system itself.

    The things I like are the gameworld itself and the combat. The path system is actually very fun, especially on the colonist. I was impressed with how nice some of the things you can build with a colonist can be, such as the buffing stations that can be used by any player. I chose to go with a scientific path on the Engineer and that is pretty fun too. I like scanning plants and animals only to trigger different effects.

     

    Overall I feel really positive and still rate this game an 8/10 but it does need more polish.

    Cons

    Performance is shit. Having to spend 500€~~ on some upgrades just for this game (even though I'm running all of the new releases properly) is really frustrating.

    Levelling is shit. Questing being the only viable way of levelling really frustrates me. Every other method is faaar behind the 1.25 levels/hour from questing. There are some fun moments and good zones but it's all the same as in other mmorpgs. PvP servers spice up things but just a bit.

    Pros

    Everything else.

    Yes.  I wanted to hate it.  I said I'd never even consider buying the game.  But I did, and I like it so far.  

    That's just, like, my opinion, man.

    Feel exactly the same. Playing Civ 5 and a few other TBS games at the moment. Wildstar just felt very average, very meh. Didn't stimulate me on any level.

    Well my 7 day pass expired this morning with me not having reached a decision. I finally caved in a few minutes ago, but my paypal failed three times. Maybe it's a sign, making up my mind for me. It's never failed with any other purchase.
