Hi
Im out of energon..and i need to find the golden brick road to wizard of OZ..so help me plz
And i dont want any feedback on listed games
Here is a list if what drugs i have tryed:
World of warcraft:
It was good in vanilla times..but now its ment for kidz and ruined (sowwy kidz)
Runes of magic:
Also great but in the end you had to pay to win ( also the skill casting was often laggy and bugged when you was in fast combat )
Aion:
Great graphics and crafting engine..but the servers are in Texas and i live in Denmark, so i had some lag when i used skills cuz i had 200-300 + ping..also when you get lvl65 then loot sudenly stops to drop and instance boss drops only blue or lower gear cuz you must farm tokens and cions and bananas to get pvp gear or somthing..so i dislike the game. (also unbalanced pvp)
Shayia:
It just got boring and zzzz. It had no pulse...to much asian style poor texture
Dragon prohet:
Also dident catch my pulse..great gfx but boring game play..also no players were hardly online..
Rappelz:
Tryed it but not my style..i hate mouse click to move games
Allods:
Wierd casting system and wierd gfx...
Guildwars 2:
Again..wierd casting system..just no thanks
Secret world:
It had a great quest line system with hard puzzle and use your brain quest, but i got bored of it cuz it was mainly " zombie/monster hunting and shooting lightning or fire skills...boring in the end..to much puzzle sherlock holmes style.
Perfect world:
Also got tired of it due to a slim quest line and manganeese players...ergo boring. poor texture
Dungeons and dragons:
I liked some parts of the game but to much dungeon systems and you had to pay to get better loot..so no thanks.
Neverwinter:
OMG What have they done to good old never winter nights RIP NWN
Age of conan:
broken engine and boring..no thanks
Tera:
Again with the skill cating system..i dont like it..also all these aim to cast and press all hands on random keybord keys to win isent me.
And all this super hero mmorpg isent me..i like good old wizard and sword and magic game with alot of skills to cast or use
I am waiting for everquest next..but until then i need a game to play !
What should i play ?
Comments
i randomly just got back into SWTOR and i am having a blast. just wanted to get back into a solid story pve content, it's doing the trick. trying to enjoy leveling and watching the story cutscenes etc until i get to max level then jump back into pvp and see how it's progressed since i last played at launch.
also playing ArcheAge which is a blast but not putting much into it because i don't want to burn out during alpha/beta
I tryed wildstar but i dident like the starting..maybe i should try it again
starwars and sci fi mmorpg isent me either
Give Rift a try. It's the best F2P mmo out there imo I have played it for years and it's really top notch. Nothing beyond certain souls are locked behind a pay wall and those optional. The whole game including raid content is free, the servers are mostly medium pop or high pop sans the PvP server, and the players are very helpful in my experience.
Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose by giving Rift a chance in my opinion.
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.
Try RIFT. It's F2P and while there is a cash store, everything in the game can be earned without paying a dime. The top gear in the game is NOT on the store, either. It's a fulfilling fantasy MMO that is similar enough to WoW but different enough as well. It's my favorite themepark MMO.
EDIT: Ha, I see someone else suggested RIFT. I forgot that some of the souls (i.e. Rogue healing, Mage tanking, etc.) have to be purchased, but you can buy REX using earned currency and use them to buy things in the cash shop.
OP seem to have an issue with the mmo genre. Play single player games. They are a lot of fun too. Right now every mmo out will give you a dose of what you dont want, one way or the other.
EDIT: i want to point out that you say the current state of WoW (and Wildstar) are meant for kiddies but you want internet strangers to make your decisions for you? mmmh......
The one you like..
Why? Because you like it..

Damnit, Damon! Now I wont be able to read any of your posts for a while
well i asked what should i play..i asked for it i guess... hmm "The rift eeh" mr burns style
but isent it a " follow a red quest line game " like wow you can do quest every were and choose quest areas..i tryed rift once but forgot it again..i just hate is there is 1 way only like some solo play game
But isent the rift some sort of "follow a red line" game with only 1 way and place of doing quest that lead to the only and next npc in line ?
Like in wow you can choose were to level up in multi areas and do quest were you like within ur lvl range
So based on your location, and ping being an issue in some games, and considering all the games you posted about share some kind of similarities as far as game style goes. Have you ever tried or possibly would you ever try to completely change up the type of games you play?
Since you are waiting for EQN clearly that will be the first game out of your list that is a bit more sandboxish.
I have been in your position before, not knowing what to play, but I was only in that position because i put myself there. I have played many games in the past which at times i did not want to give another chance to. Well more along the lines that i knew how much hard work it would be to become viable really so i would tend to start a new different game and stop playing that after a month back to square one looking for yet another game. I finally started to realize how much time i was wasting on crap games realizing that had i put in the time i spent on all these games into one of the games i was staying away from, that i would have already been viable.
Anyway, I would tell you to just try and keep an open mind and possibly a slight distant future of the games you play, if they will be there if they will be a money sink with noting to gain from it when you leave, and so on.
If you havn't checked it out before, DONT you tube it, but possibly check out Wurm Online, their main page video is pretty decent to watch as it tells you a bit of what to expect. But if you you tube it to see what it looks like you will most likely not even look at it any more then that, which in my opinion is one of the worst things people can do, as with a game like Wurm you really have play it to see what its about. And also playing with the help of veterans will help speed things along with progression. There are no points to put into skills, its all an open skill game system. Anyuway if you decide to check it out feel free to pm me ill help you out.
