Help me please spyware problem Surfer Sidekick 3

Somehow Surfside Kick 3 ssk3.exe or some such got on my computer.  I don't just download things raondomly and I even had my norton Internet security enabled.  The only thing I've done differently is go to ebaums world and download videos and stuff.  I'd like to think you can't get spyware from there but... I really don't know what else to think.

Anyway, I want to remove this program from my control panel but it wants me to enter a code (a hex oops i mean six digit) code to verify that this "is a user initiated removal" or something.  It gives me the code below the entry point.  I'm not too computer savvy even though I am familiar with the term hexadecimal.  I am hesitant to enter the code.  Ok I was looking up how to spell "savvy" and I'm getting ads and stuff, even though my security was supposed to have blocked the program from connecting to the internet, so I guess it's adware or also adware.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.image

Ok I know I can find some adware removal, I'm just wondering if I should remove it or if it would further compromise my security to enter this code it gives me to remove it, since this would be much easier.

Heres one way you can remove it(assuming you have windows XP).

    1.  Go to All Programs.

    2.  Go to Accessories

    3.  Go to System Tools

    4. Click System Restore.

    5. Follow the directions there.

    6. Go to the point where your computer didn't have ssk3.exe.

    7.  You should be able to delete it if its still there.

    8. Stop downloading videos unless you are sure the site is safe.

If that doesn't work, reinstall windows.

Well thanks for your help very much indeed.  Man, I really should have thought of that already.  I don't seem to have a reset date for some reason even though I've done this before and I thought I told it to create reset dates at certain times.  I will try ad-a-ware or whatever now.  Thank you.

Spyware has gotten so bad that I have 7 different programs I run (I kid you not).  The best is Spybot Search and Destroy - this gets rid of most of the nastiest spyware.  Another good one to run is Ad-Aware SE Personal.  I'd advise to get something running ASAP - you won't believe all the crap these devious aholes sneak onto your PC.image
