2nd Alpha server with patch 1.2
Was watching the Trion stream yesterday, as player waiting for Beta not good news related to dates.
But alpha players got one: A 2nd alpha server will be add when pathcing 1.2

Yes, thinking the same way. If i didnt like so much the game (playing ru) i just Forget about Trion and move on. I have Money for them, but they will not see a single euro from me befor release, or at least close to release date.
Trion said there would not be a second Alpha Server.
Trion Said they would stop selling founder packs when the server was full.
They are now adding a second alpha server, they oversold the one they have it is laggy when full and you get disconnects.
Trion has a history of saying one thing and then changing their minds.

LMFAO , are you serious , if people want to pay for there product they have every right to sell it to them ..
Ohh i know , if it were you selling something and you had said would be stopping at 20k units and people were beating your door down , You would just turn away all that money that could help you further develop your product and satiisfy more customers...
And its know big deal for them to throw up another server to give current players better performance and welcome more folks into the fold ..

So if you bought a print paid extra because it was limited there were only going to be 100 of them.
Then you went out to Walmart and see they were selling them there would that be ok? I would not!
Shame on any company that lies to people and shame on people that say it is ok to lie, just because they are trying to make a buck. I believe that anyone should be able to sell their product, but do not lie to your customer to do it just be honest, I know many people believe when it comes to making a buck there are no limits on what you can do.
They could be bringing up a beta server now instead of adding a second Alpha server.
They could have not oversold the alpha server in the first place.
Yes I'm happy for Trion for making some money and want the game to be a success, just Trion has done the same type things in the past and as customers we should call them out instead of patting them on the back.
One is a product who's price and resell value is dictated by its scarcity. The other is a service with no resell price from which you own nothing.
They have gold spammers in Alpha, none stop txt flying by you ban one within five minutes they have created a new character and are spamming again.
They have bots and not just a couple there are LOTS of bots already.
They allow scamming people out of money, since there is a shortage of land (oversold the server) and no way to safely sell it Trion says it is your fault for getting scammed instead of adding the ability to sell land, which by the way is in the newer version of the game. Maybe fix that before tossing up another alpha server to grab money.
Even though the people playing paid 150 to play there is no GM support to speak of.
Should they really be selling more alpha slots or take care of the problems they are already having?
they sure the hell are..iv been waiting a long ass time to get in but not gonna fork over that type of cash and now im starting to dread to see what that cash shop will look like ..trion has a good way of saying one thing then doing a 360 ..i dont get why open another server tho? they starving for money that bad? imo i like the thought of 1 huge server..it would always be populated but thats just me
You are right, Trion cannot be blamed to take advantage of fools. Nor can Trion be blamed for being greedy, because companies are supposed to be greedy.

They sold alpha as a product with a limited number of slots thus scarcity.
You bought a advertised bottle of wine that I said there were only five bottles left in the world (Scarcity) for 200 bucks went home and drank it was a badass bottle of wine, then went by Walmart to see it was the wine of the week for 6.99.

I will make it real simple.
Trion said one thing and does another it is called a lie. (We are selling a limited number of alpha slots there will not be a second alpha server)
Taking up for Trion when they lie is called a Fanboy. (It is ok for Trion to lie if it is to make more money)
Telling a Lies to make money is not ok, even though many people think it is. (This is a real problem in our society lack of Morals)

They have said it multiple times go watch the live stream feeds if you watch the one about opening the alpha server it is in there. You can probably find it looking for scapes posts in the forums too if you want to see it.
BTW after going and reading exactly what Trion is saying they are not opening another alpha server, instead they are opening an omega server which you have to have alpha access to get on.
So I take back all my bad words about Trion telling lies, there will not be a second Alpha server it will be called the Omega server.

Yes shame on them for allowing more players to buy their early access instead of limiting early access. It is the least they could do, allowing those who paid to be at least able to play the game.

Where is the source of this information? In your head? I've not seen any such thing that stated there would not be any more Alpha servers. People are basing just about all of the replies on this information which doesn't have a source coming from Trion Worlds.
If people want to buy it, they should sell it and sell more of it to the people that want to buy it. it's all a matter of supply and demand. Given the game has a full player driven economy, I figured most looking at this game would know about this.
I don't get disconnects nor lag but I have a good Internet connection so it could be your bad Internet connection is the problem.
Not saying they are bad because open a 2nd alpha server and give to those who pay the expensive pack better play conditions, but why they didnt do it few weeks ago when some costumers complain about the server is packed? or why they dont open the server right now or in next few days?
No, they will open the 2nd alpha server with 1.2 implemented, so why they dont move to beta state either?
Alpha and beta should be about testing the game/servers, with so many ppl playing isnt there enouph testing allready?
A Server packed is one of the best server tests, and its be this way few weeks allready for what i read.
I dont buy the expensive pack because im not interested in the pack, neither i want to spend that amount in a game in one payment.
And for those playing alpha and say Trion is doing it right, dont you want to play a release version? or prefer continue to play in a alpha / test server?
Anyway, im happy for those who playing alpha and will get better conditions in next few weeks, but not happy the way Trion or xlgames are manage the launch game here in NA/EU.
I will be there anyway, in a few months... or next year...
You seem to have missed the fact that beta has been delayed due to major changes coming to the game in the next few weeks. The Archeum pack sales have way exceeded their projections and adding a second server will help all those people who can't find lamd to build on at the moment.
It is not just in his head. I remember them saying that too in one of their videos. However, I fail to see what is the problem with changing your mind. Everybody does that. It is a result of learning new things. And, it is not that they are breaking any promises. In this case it is even quite understandable that they changed their mind.

I know one thing though, AA is going to get demolished by botters whenever it finally releases (predicting Q3 15). It won't be pretty.

But not sure the real reason (from xlgames, Trion or both) of release the game with 1.2, because inicial didnt seem to be that plan.
I want to belieave its because 1.2 is a better version, i want to belieave that.
And not only a "money grab" related decision, because it looks like atm. Maybe im been unfair and all this is only to provide a better player experience when game come out... maybe.
It's not pretty with botters (and goldsellers - no seriously!) already in alpha. At least TRION was honest enough to tell that the current version doesn't support insta-ban of them by GMs, but the 1.2 patch will allow GMs that. If TRION is as determined to keep bots & goldsellers at bay as they are with their other games, then I have good faith that AA will be an other good managed game as well.
