The game's not for everyone. You need to give it more time and explore it some more before you judge it. SIMS Online is a poor excuse of RPG. The game has a lot to offer if you just look into it. Im not sure about group loot but just split it amonst yourselves?
Hi Bob, I think this game might not be for you.
Not saying there's anything wrong with wanting those things, I want some form of objects interaction myself, but this game definitely doesn't have them.
Nor group loot.
Suggest you try Project Entropia, maybe. Group loot system is great there.
I have never had any problems with sharing loot in this game. Players are generally great and group loot is not actually needed. It may be partly because of player based crafting system and classless kill system.
LOL. Ok, pets might bring something into game. Sounds that you take list of WoW features and check what is "missing" in Ryzom.
Try out emotes, there is lots of them and they are quite funny. Sure beats jumping.
There is large PvP areas and Matis arena where you can fight. In general, population is not that much PvP centric in this game although those elements can be found too.
Guilds have wars sometimes. Outpost that are supposed to come out later this summer (closed test on test server atm) is supposed to bring something to actually woth fighting for.
There has been event related pvp like Kami vs. Karavan capture the flag and Prime Roots Challange (free for all pvp trekking contents in high lvl area with mob patrols
Go out and see the world. World treks and Prime root treks are major fun!So, is sneaking too but that is prolly just me Eploration, find tribes and do some tasks for them or find boss mobs. You could get a party and go hunting for boss mobs. That's completely different from grinding and rewards are great.
For bit higher lvl peeps there are bandit bosses with unique loot. I like more attacks to Kitin nests to kill their queens but I advise having a big multi team parry for that And do not fear Death Penalty.
There is lots of lvls to gring and many seem to like doing that. This does not mean that grinding is goal of this game. I lvled my main skill 2h melee last time maybe 2 months ago. lol. And there is still many lvls to go in that skill.
Rite missions should provide fun for some time after you have played some time. I hope they just would release more of them.
Yeah, and then there is all kinds of events.
>(1) No Group Loot!
Nope, but OMG! That means you have to actually talk to people, socialise and apportion the loot! Oh noes!
>(2) No Pets Please don't count your mount or the Packer as a pet.
Well, they are after a fashion. So yes, you have mounts and packers.
No other critters at the moment, save via a bug, but they're not that essential and seem to be a cause of brokeness in class balancing in a lot of other games.
>(3) No Eating...But the mount and the packer can.
Nope, but consumable potion-like items have been tested and appeared in game via the easter egg hunt. So consumables aren't that far off being implemented.
Otherwise they're roleplay items and, while it would be nice to have them there's nothing wrong with just typing...
*Takes a bite out of a yubo haunch*
(4) No Drinking or able to sit in a char!
See above.
You can sit by the chairs though.
Again, non-essential but nice content, but I'd prefer to see the bigger things brought in first.
>(5) No Fishing!
I live in the desert, not much fish there anyway
And what would you use them for? Extra materials maybe?
>(6) No cooking!
See above...
>(6) {No Real} pvp unless its ask for. No war unless its killing some huge insect aliens?
Sounds good to me! PvP tends to attract immature jerks who spoil everyone elses game experience by ganking and griefing. Still it seems people's wish for more childish PvP will be fulfilled somewhat by the outposts addition.
>(7) No Player Tents Or Player made Camp fires.
Again they serve no purpose other than pure RP, which is likely why they're not considered an essential addition.
>(8) No Jumping!
Not yet, but there have been vague mentions.
>(9) Tell me were is the fun at? Explain to me how i can enjoy this game when i want to take a break from all the grind? Besides Doing Crafing and Harvesting?
Throw yourself into the player and guide events, roleplay your socks off, explore, travel, plan. If you expect pointles instancing that robs your deeds of meaning, or if you expect to be lead around by the nose doing the same quests as every other b*gger then yes, you're going to be disappointed.
The wealth of Ryzom is in the community.

looool loool lol
no to all of these except PvP which there is but in specific zones.
and why would you want any of these things? SoR probably not the game for you if u need fishing and eating to have fun.. hehe can't stop laughing now..i better go
where on your box did it say: "For all the fans of EQ, WoW etc etc.. this game is a total rip-off"?
None of the things on your list are in any way essential. The SoR experience is living and breathing in a world very different to all others, and interact with the best mmorpg community(*) to this date. I do suppose that if the living experience and the interacting aspect (often rpg) is not enough, then SoR is not the game for you.
I would then aim for mmorpgs filled to the very limit of toys and clearly marked out character development paths; read: eq, eq2, wow etc.
(*) ...which, indeed, is not only about a "helpful" community, but more about being interesting/entertaining/devoted etc. (all very subjective of course) as well.
.............
When in doubt, troll.
Bob,
It is the saga of ryzom, and a open skill system. What you miss is the developer giving you a tube to squeeze into so you can perform your role and follow the manditory quests for your class or be gimped.
SoR is not perfect, there are admitedly alot of things that are missing, not finished yet, badly developed etc. With SoR you can still use your imagination and be around some of the best people who play MMORPG's.
