hey, be nice. I just used a new video editing software to make this movie (not new but never been used).
movie filmed in "swg", music by "a tribe called quest"
what I was trying to do is make a music video that has a short film in it. This was my first attempt and I know i didn't do what i wanted to. What i am going to try to do next, is make full, hour long movies or possibly 15 or 30 min episodes like red vs. blue. eather serious or comedic.
if anyone wants to help me out making films, please email me or something because this is going to be really fun and would be funner if i had a crew and actors

OMG Sidebuster that is N I C E !!!!!!!!!
I can't imagine how many hours it took you to find the right SWG emote dance moves to match to the beat of the music LOL!
My favorite part is when the song says "Mario Andretti" and in the video you morph to the speeder bike Heheh!
I think everyone else could use your help to make videos! Including LucasArts and SOE!

I've never 100% explored the Dancer profession in SWG. I've done some low level dancing with my character. So I have seen for myself the list of available dancing emotes. I also know they can be combined in an ingame macro to make dancing combos. (Just like a player can make combat macros/combos.)
And I have watched Expert level Dancers in SWG. I do know there are almost hundreds of different. dancing emotes, and dancing combos. Plus a player can make their own custom combos. It is possible for someone to study every single dancing emote, and combo, then make their own customized routine. They can stop, pause, and combine movements at any time while dancing.

Here are a small, tiny, sample of some dance emotes, and a dancer doing 1 combo:

I still remember me and some friends cracking up the first time we saw someone doing "Hip-Hop" influenced moves in SWG:

It was done well though. SWG originally used Mo-Cap (Motion Capture) to designe all their dance movies. The range from Ballet, to Hip Hop, to "70's Disco", and more.

Specialy sense its SWG footage, so anxious to play!
wait a sec... i did post this at mmorpg.com right? sooo
where are all the flames? I assume they will be comming some time soon? I am kinda scared that EVERYONE I showed it too said nothing but good things about the movie. I just threw it together in a matter of hours and it was just to warm up on making episodes....
Since everyone liked it i guess i can share that i am currently working on making episode 2.
I am thinking i will have 5 to 15min episodes about estevon the smuggler and things that happen. So look forward to an actual story
Very nice ^^ You should definetly make more, I love watching player-made vids of games, they're so much REALer than official vids.
Keep experimenting, I definetly wanna see more!
EDIT: Woo?? 200 posts, Im so leet /end sarcasm x.x;;
Its fun, made me want to get up and start dancing myself.

"Cruisin' in Mos Espa.... "
I think the person who made this thread, Sidebuster........ along with the person who made the video at the link I put up just now, should BOTH be hired by SOE and LucasArts to do their marketing!!! LOL!!!
I like the Metallica version of the Imperial march at the very end LOL! MOSH!

for some reason MMORPG.com messed up and made a double post
*cracks knuckles*
Well, I will start.
The movie was nicely put together. The only bad thing I have to say is that the dancing in SWG is another reason why SWG tarnishes the SW franchise name. There has never been any break dancing or hip hop dancing in any SW movies. I couldn't ever imagine Obi or Anakin breaking out the moves.
yay ty very much for this
I just came to the boards to ask about some videos and reviews of SWG, im interested in playing it but I dunno if its worth... now lemme see ur video and see if I should play it
That just had me laughing so hard I cried! I played SWG for a year, and I never had as much fun with it as I did watching that video. That's darned near enough to warrant another subsciption from me. The original poster's video was terrific as well, but how can you top a starship with an "I brake for hawtpants" bumper sticker? *laugh*
Well done!
I had no idea SWG had hip-hop dancing as a profession. That would have been one thing to keep me playing
KillerTwinkie - That one guy who used to mod mmorpg.com's forums.
The dancing profession was really very deep, believe it or not. There was actually sort of a zen to it beyond just making macros. Switching seamlessly from style to style was very difficult to do, and there were methods of dance-moving your character from place to place across the floor. It was as much or as little of an actual player skill (as opposed to a character skill) as you wanted it to be. The entertainer professions were absolutely the most original concept in the game. No other MMO I've seen or heard about has ever developed a "class" entirely for the Socializer segment of Bartle's personality types. If not for the massive influx of bots into the game, the cantina circuit probably would've held onto those Social gamers for quite awhile.
Nice but I'd like to know what other game your dancing in, you can't tell me that it's SWG.
... Or has it improved that much? LOL
Twitter @Phantium
Unless I'm mistaken, all of the dancing scenes in the original video appeared to take place in Theed, Naboo.
Needs more fighting and do some outerspace stuff ><.
