Here is an idea, what if the physical attributes you choose at character creation affect your character's stats?
For example, as your character became larger or more muscular you would gain bonus's to strength, power and carrying capacity, but you would see a reduction in agility, dodging capabilities and speed. As a large character you may also have a larger hit box but higher health.
As your character becomes smaller and more wily the sliders would operate in the opposite direction giving you a bonus to speed, agility and dodge.
Equipping heavy armour or weapons would slow you down but increase your defence or your damage per hit, regardless of size; and vice versa for equipping lighter armour and weapons. So for example, you could roll a small character in heavy armour and hit an average in terms of defence/ health and agility/ speed; likewise with a large character in light armour. Or you could create a medium sized character in medium armour or any combination and all your options would affect your stats.
Likewise you could perhaps somehow juxtapose intelligence and instinct and depending on where you set the slider between the two you obtain corresponding stat gains/ reductions.
It would be a nightmare to balance, but for me it is an intriguing idea. To prevent cookie cutter builds your choices at character creation would unlock other abilities, such as detection, or increase caps in certain skill trees.
What do you think?

But depending upon where you placed the character creation slider it would increase the cap on certain areas of the skill tree, thus creating classes of a sort. They would also unlock secondary skills required to unlock content, lockpicking, detection, disarm traps, break open whatever... etc.
