I'm sorry you didn't enjoy ESO OP, it's definitely not everyone's cup o tea. Personally I really enjoy the game, and found the story quite engaging. The quest hubless game play gave me a fresh breath for MMO leveling, but I will say the game isn't without problems. I think the game will be far better than it is today in about 6 more months. The strides they made from release until now has been staggering, people that haven't played it really can't understand how much they have fixed and smoothed out.
It had kind of a rough release, but I do believe ESO is doing more than okay, it just will end up as another niche game for people with interests like mine, which in all honesty is one of the best things you can hope for in today's market.
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV Have played: You name it If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

There we go again....
What do you mean?

I played it upon release and liked quite a bit about it. Despite this, most of the time while I was playing there was a large part of me wishing I was playing Skyrim. I quit because of the bots and the bugs with every intention of returning once a few patches had rolled out. I then simply felt no desire to return...
I did not find it to be a bad game, it just didn't raise any particular emotion, good or bad. I just think they were too safe with the fundamental concept. If they had created an open world sandboxy game without classes and with less reliance upon linear levelling they might have emoted a response from me other than indifference.

My problem with ESO was this: -
