I'm kinda looking for a game that makes you party. ESO was solo.... I'm really looking for an mmo that makes you have to party. So with that said, is this the game for me?

You're in luck, FFXIV on sale from Steam was more expensive than just about anywhere else so you saved money by not buying it during the Steam sale.

As for grouping, well you have to do the dungeons to advance the main story quest, so kinda, though the best way to make exp is to grind FFXIV's version of dynamic events.  The end game is heavily centered on dungeons/raids so in that sense it is not a solo game, at least when you hit max level.  Be aware the combat is very very slow.

This is the totally the game for you. They don't make you group that often during the leveling process except say every 5-10 levels, though you'll be able to level quicker if you do fates and dungeons as a party while completing your story and class quests.

Endgame though is all about grouping.  The story will make you group to fight primals during leveling, which all have hard and extreme modes that must be done in a group at level 50. Most importantly you have a ton of 4man dungeon content and the first and second coil of bahamut which is 8man progression raid content.

You also just missed the amazon sale which had it at 12.49, so less than a months sub for new players. Check places like Greenmangaming.com and look for the % off codes on the main page, they usually always work for older games.

And this game is pretty much what you would expect from a post WoW era MMO, mostly solo leveling, doesnt take that long, heavy on the dodging circles endgame...ect.

Also if your an older MMO player, the combat will be faster than stuff like EQ or FFXI (in fact it still feels spammy to me, but part of that issue is doing the same rotations so much).
