So now im finding myself wondering if its time to give ESO a decent chance yet or look elsewhere, or maybe even just cut my losses and try to sell the key for $10 or something.

Mostly interested in knowing what the bot situation is? If the grouping mechanics have been improved at all? What the bug situation is now (ie. playable to the end or is there still significant risk of getting stuck in a quest chain with no way out)? Have the buffed gold acquisition yet or is Collectors Edition still the only way to get a mount in any decent amount of time. Basically, if youve seen the Angry Joe Review, how much of it still holds true?

Honestly forget about this game for half a year and when you hear about it going f2p in a few monthes then use your key so u will have the past p2p benefits.

lol keep dreaming. Also turns out the people talking about the so called FPS issue being tied to lighting were wrong. it had to do with a behind the scene security update.

  • My opinion on things:

    • It seems like 95% of bugs are gone. The ones that are left are small and dont effect the story. Also i noticed that if you encounter a small bug, if you log out and then log back in its fixed. Just something i have noticed.
    • Bots are almost extinct. To the point were i have not encountered a single one in quite some time so thats good. Still, not going to say that they are 100% gone because im sure you can still find some.
    • Lag? Nope.
    • Balance issues? Yeah, they need to fix some staminia things (make it more useful to have a stamina build.) Nightblades feel a tinsy bit underpowered still but that could just be me.
There are probably a good amount of things i did not mention so keep that in mind. I rushed this so sorry about grammer.

    TL;DR:
The game is (mostly) fixed and has been playable for some time now. Try it out/resub or whatever and give it a shot.

edit: one thing i want to mention is that i think they should some how make werewolfs and vamps more... useful i guess.

i think its mostly because they FTW the whole endgame to make viable players, but ya f2p and p2p totally agree

Honestly I have hit Vet4 and am having a waaay better time than when I hit veteran and quit a while back. I grinded out 3 vet levels, which was meh.., but now at Vet4 I essentially feel like a maxlevel. In PvP I am competetive enough, not everyone is V12 like the world makes it seem. I can even take on V9s relatively easy.

That said the Vet system still needs work, it gets better from v1-3 I promise.

I am finely able to heal the Vet dungeons with some confidence in my gear and stats. I think the Vet dungeons are fantastic. they are super challenging but reward you getting up and trying again. They are difficult but not in a frustrating way like Wildstar was to me. Its more on the fly decision making. Like, "should I keep heals on the tank"or rescue this guy who has the attention of a few mobs". Or "should I resurrect my teamate, or try and finish off the boss?" and many other scenarios. The boss fights don't feel choreographed and I love that about this game.

Doing group stuff in the PvE world is fun and I have met some cool people doing public dugeons and dark anchors.

PvP still needs some work as does the Vet game, and more features need to be added. But if it was 6/10 at launch, i would say it is an 8/10 right now. And the quest are just so well done for an MMO, maybe not an ES single game, but for an MMO, they are quality. This is definitely a game you put down for awhile and come back to many times.

Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

While I really enjoy the game, I quit a few days ago after getting to V2, though I plan on resubbing in a few months. Knowing that they are going to scrap the current Vet system and replace it with something more along the lines of EQII's AA system, I'm going to avoid this grind train....and wait for the next one. :)

The new vet system is a breeze, the mobs have gone from feeling like they were 5 levels above you to one level above you. Still a bit tougher but only marginally so. Some players preferred the old challenge, but this is era of the easymode MMO, development only goes one way, easier. I found it a pain to adapt to vet, but once I managed it, I did regard it as an achievement.

There is no perfect way to do difficulty, my concern for the MMO genre is that there is only one way to do difficulty, the easymode way. And with each iteration of new MMos it must get ever easier. Want to play the Candy Crush MMO anyone?

The vet content will not be removed and youll most likely have to go through it to earn the champ points. So the quest grind will still be there.
