Yep, it's turned back yet again for this weekend. The chicken chasing championship, which was a short-lived fun event more than six years ago, then reappeared as an April 1st joke the KFC (http://www.lotro.com/en/game/articles/announcing-kingsfoil-championship-league), now it seems to take its place among the frequent events with returning for the 3rd time.
If you want some team-based fun, or just bashing guiding and escorting (
) chickens with a stick towards the other team's gate, hop over to one of the Hobnanigans playfields above Bree this weekend.
Not exactly e-sport material, but teamwork and coordination can help a lot. And if all else fails, you can still have a drink from the boot, like this dude

It seems indeed, according to a post of Sapience it will be a monthly event.
Also there are the dates of the summer festival (July 22 – August 8) and the Farmer’s Faire (Sept. 2 -16)
But, as always, it's all only tentative, of course
