Title says it all.
Little bit of "what if" fun
Here's a few I'd love to play:
Never Ending Story Online (Just cos)
Masters of the Universe (3 faction PvP, He-mans forces, Skeletors and King Hiss)
World of Watchmen (Like an 18+ Champions Online)
Predator Online (You play as a Predator, travelling from planet to planet in search of a challenging hunt. Arena's to prove your worth against other predators.)
Game of Thrones (3 way DAoC-esque, Stark vs Lannister vs Baratheon. Expansion introduces Targaryen faction and Dothraki as playable race :O

Personally I don't think the time frame of the movies, the end of the Third Age, is very suitable for MMORPGs. I feel a game centered around a different age of Middle-Earth, either after of before the War of the Ring, would work better.
In my opinion that specific time period introduces certain unwanted limitations (not the least because there's so much information about the time period) and a need for non-player centric external story that I just feel makes for worse gameplay.
Now on to Conan, the world of the movie (since this was a discussion about movies and not books) itself would in my opinion make for a good MMO if somebody competent decided to pick it up.

Battlestar Galactica. A proper fully fledged MMO and not that browser crap that was done a couple of years ago.
Underworld would also make a good MMO as long as it wasn't made by EA or Funcom.

I see some of them are originally books.
I will dear to stray a bit from the topic, but I would really like a MMO about "The stormlight archive" book series even though only two books are out so far.
This universe would really adapt well to a game I think with the resource management, classes, races etc.
It's written by Brandon Sanderson, the guy who finished the wheel of time series.
Neverending Story MMO does sound pretty good.
I can see it now. Your character reads the book and travels into Fantasia. The only problem is that the longer they stay the more the modern world begins to bleed in. As the world becomes corrupted you are forced to stay and continually battle the changes before hipster references, advertising billboards, pocket monsters and retro rock songs destroy the innocence of the world through commerciallism.
I pity tha fool that doesn't want to play that game!

More of a real time fps game with Alliance vs Outlaws vs Reavers. Each with their own playstyle and chars with different skills. Navigator can see faster routes, mechanic has a better chance to repair stuff without spending too much money, crafters, gunners...
Alliance builds stuff for themselves by farming mining aso, tries to keep planets safe from reavers and catches Outlaws. Your basic MMORPG race. They'd have the best tech but also a huge area to defend.
Outlaws steal whatever they can or have to rely on getting a job to make money. With that they can buy stuff like fuel or maybe even a bigger ship. But if you get caught by the Alliance your ship is gone. Or there could be the possibility to build/buy a space station if your doing really well.
Reavers are your kill or be killed PvP race. They invade planets which reduces the population and safety on the planet. This will reduce the general productivity of the planet meaning less ressources for Alliance which leads to higher crafting costs. So the Alliance better protects these planets or helps rebuild. Outlaws should try to dodge them unless they are rich and can afford weapons.
Reavers and Outlaws would basicly be kind of the same but one would have a higher focus on PvE,stealing,trading and the other a pure PvP you keep what you kill faction.
Ghost in the Shell
With implants and prosthetics as the bulk of itemization I think it would bring a fresh and organic feel to character building. There has been some movement with the IP but last I checked it was a multiplayer FPS battle arena. /sadface
