Archeage beta download SO SLOW!!

Internet here in Rural Alaska is slow but never this slow 12kb/s 695 hours remaining anyone else experiencing slow download speeds and is there anyway to make it faster?

I have 6 mb up and 2 mb down I know it's not the great but should be able to download at at least 600kbps.

I usually max out around 7 megabytes a second. I'm currently downloading at 725kbps. The first half it was going about 4-6MB/s.

I think I downloaded it in 3 hours. Might be that everyone is downloading right now. I downloaded yesterday.

I Am downloading at 1.7Mbits sec. Your internet is very slow or maybe some sort of ip restriction

LOL, you will have to get in the next beta invite in order to actually play it, this one is just to allow you to download it...

 

Oh, that's right, their patches are for the full deal... so even if you get this one, the next time they patch the game it's back to square one again...

Started downloading at around 4:30 PM and it is at 20GB 2 hours later, pretty good imo

I am in rural Canada with the same speed as you. It is currently 10:28pm and have about 50 min left,, Started at 9am, Depending on our family's use of the web today my download range was between 250 to 650 kb/s.

Over 5mb d/l here too, it's been about an hour and it's halfway done.  I don't even see the issue since the beta doesn't start til tomorrow. lol

Cancel the DL and restart it. Once a download server fills up, it really bogs down. Trion seems to have a system in place that dynamically spins up more download servers as the demand requires. By restarting the download, you'll jump to the freshest server. Worked for me anyways.

 

Went from 7mb/s to 725kb/s. Restarted and went back up to 7mb/s.

I'd kill to have some of your guy's internet speeds. My max speed is 650kb/s, So this is about a 10 hour download for me, give or take depending on how stable my speed stays.

 

Ah well. It's just what I have to deal with living in rural Appalachia.

Fluctuating between 13 and 20mb/s right now for me. Better than I get from most servers.

I have a data T2 so my downloads always take a long time but this client seems to be even worst than most

Finally got it downloaded a while ago. It took 30 hours and I had to restart the client  about 50 times because the download speed would drop down to 20 kbps also used google dns and open dns to help boost the speed at times.

Average Download is 2-4 hours.  The download will obviously be dictated by your Service Provider and your "Downloadable Speed".  I have installed the various Alphas and now Beta, during what I am assuming our peak times and they have taken 3 hours.
