I purchased Wildstar at the beginning of early access. Im a very casual player with maybe a L24 engineer being my highest level character. I haven't played the game in over two weeks due to work and RL obligations and then today when I went to cancel my account I noticed that it was suspended. At first I thought my subscription ran out and checked my bank records and noticed I was charged $15 on 7/7/14. I then went into my email and noticed on 7/17 they suspended my account for use of a 3rd party program. Considering I have not logged in in over 2 weeks this is utter bullshit. I have zero virus's on this computer and theres no way I ever clicked on anything to get jacked. As for the password part I am convinced that the breach is on their end. I submitted a ticket asking for a refund as I dont plan to ever buy a game from a scamming company.

What proof do you have of this?
Well, at least you wont be charged again.
Next time, do the 2-factor, no matter what game it is. Someone got a hold of your username and password. Doesn't matter how now. What does matter is that this likely wouldn't have happened had you had 2-factor. Also, read your subscription terms a little more closely. I have to assume this was your first subscription model MMO...
PS, you dont need to click on anything to get jacked. Just simply visit the wrong page...
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
You said you were charged the 7th and your account closed on the 17th. That is after the date you paid. Not before. How do you know it wasnt from the state you were in? Most hackers can fake any IP they want.
Apparently you do, because you can't keep your account secure.
Nonsense. Your account violated the EULA and ToS. It is their right to cancel your license to use the software immediately, after all, you agreed to that in the terms.
If all that you say is true, contact support and they will help you out. As far as the IP address thing, sure, they can reactively look at that sort of stuff if you report the issue to them. In the end, your account has been found guilty, the burden of proof otherwise lies on your end.
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
Patty,
Actually this isnt my first subscription based game I played. I havent read the EULA to its fullest but I know when something isnt right. I have however never played a sub based game that had such hacks run rampart such as flying thru shit before your bare eyes. This however goes without saying. I shouldnt be charged money for something then taken away for no reason of mine.
Well you have, you said you played WoW. Almost every person who does not have 2 step verification gets hacked sometime or another.
You were charged for the time you agreed to, lets get that straight, you agreed to be charged every month. Your account was then banned for using exploits or something of some type. If you want your account back just talk to customer service.
Just solved all your problems, you are welcome.
I'm going to let the 'never played a sub based game that had such hacks run rampart such as flying thru shit before your bare eyes' comment go....
Look at it from the company's point of view. Had you prepaid for a month of game time then hacked the game (breaking your agreement) on purpose and gotten caught would you still be upset?
If you are truly innocent (and god knows there are TONS of people who say the same as you but are stone-dead GUILTY) then contact support and work through the proper channels to get your account back.
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
OP do not bother wildstar has rabid supporters atm.
I totally understand what you are saying.
Have had three suspensions and I do have google authenticator on my account.
I have a feeling not logging in for 2 weeks makes it auto suspend you for some reason.
Sadly it does not auto suspend billing renewal even if you are suspended.
Regardless until it happens to them they will continue to think NC poops rainbows and butterflies.
Just to clarify I like the game I just think they are having some serious account issues at the moment.
Im not playing but thanks. If you read anything the OP said you will see that he is at fault. Doesnt matter if he was playing, WoW, Eve, ESO, ArcheAge, etc.
The OP agreed to pay every month, that is why he was charged. He then got his account hacked and cant spend 5 minutes writing customer service but instead cries here...
*reads between the lines*
"I forgot to cancel my subscription and got charged for 1 month, now I am in the process of getting that charge reverted."
Move along folks... nothing to see or read here....
Do you even read what you wrote? What company stays in business if they suspend after 2 weeks non-play... Duh
Every MMO I have played has the same issues, so this OP is utter crap. You didn't do 2-step security when they offered it free for YOUR protection and you are whining... Wheeeee.....
I didn't log in for a few weeks and have not had this happen.
The fact that you are here posting instead of contacting customer support makes me think these are just troll posts.
Can you please link me to a post I've made that would give you the idea that I believe NC Soft poops rainbows and butterflies?
Dude's suspension came after the resub date. When your account is suspended, your subscription is cancelled. You must resubscribe once the suspension is lifted.

"The first time my account was suspended, I had one day left on my subscription when they cancelled it. The next day, when it was unlocked and I was able to resubscribe and send them my money for another month..."
Everything I have said is simply common sense. But I get it, you 3rd party users gotta stick together to keep the stories straight. Amirite! lol

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
See that's the thing, nothing online is ever truly safe.
It might be that you haven't clicked anything suspecious, or haven't bought any gold off any gold website or what else there now might be of things that you haven't done - but what you have done on the other hand is to have accounts online. These hackers most likely got databases with emails and user names and a shit ton of passwords, to cross reference and match with, they could have bought these off someone who might have hacked another website that you are a part of and got your encrypted password from there, which then in the end has been broken etc. Or it could be a backdoor through java, or flash or whatever that they might have caught your keystrokes or whatever - like that infamous heartbleed backdoor "virus" that otherwise happend some time back.
Two step authenticator is really the way to go to keep your things "safe" if anything as it prevents them to get on without the prober key.
So yes it is required for whenever you are online with anything really - you're kidding yourself if you think that anything you visit online is ever truly safe.
Sounds to me that your account was stolen, and that these people have used it to bot with and/or gold sell with.
But why wouldn't you want a two-step authentication method ? If you got a smart phone its free o.O
I backup Pezant, the exact same shit happened to me. Wildstar's security is fcuked, they won't admit it.
And no you shouldn't have to use 2-step security. But with Wildstar you must, cause they are noob.
WoW must be a noob as well. The biggest MMO company around doesnt know what they are doing...
NCSoft did the same to a lot of people during Aion's launch as well, when it was still a buy & subscription model game.
In all likelyhood you are screwed, and they probably won't undo the suspension.
They get very aggressive with the banhammer when a game is just out to keep the playing field level.
I'm guessing you either accidentally (or purposefully) took part in an exploit, or someone managed to hack your account and used it to sell gold or tried to sell it on Ebay or something.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
