About time. I'm resubbing because of this, though I might wait until more of the new features are in place. The Justice system seems like it would be a waste not to play around with. Also, the lip sync thing, though not a big deal, is actually something I'm really looking forward to.
Well as my thread got closed, I will reply to what was said here:
No time scale was given, yes its long but they never said it would be a month. We are going to get posters saying the lag is worse. That's what happens on this forum, as another thread that got locked said, its a hellhole.
How many of those posting that there is now more lag will really be ESO players though is another matter.

The lag will probably be worse in the beginning, any technician can tell you that moving something like this will take some time to tune in (but the same goes for any company).
But as customers we have to live with this, because once things actually are tuned in things will be better than before.
Would be interesting to see how fast their megasever can cache things up and proceed normal operations. Also any clues as to where is it physically moved to? Ireland i suppose?

Excellent, that means I'll be pretty close to it.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Whilst it's true they never said a month they did give say after the initial launch phase, most people simply didn't expect that to mean 4 months after release...
Hopefully it'll improve things for people, but people should be prepared for a rough patch (as mentioned already) rather than a seemless migration.
EU servers are back up ahead of schedule. People on other forums are reporting latencies previously at 150, now down to 50 or so. I'm playing on the NA servers, but congratulations to our EU server brothers.
I'm in North America so this doesnt affect me. Hell, I don't even play this game. Regardless of the game, European players always do seem to get screwed. I've gradually learned this from talking to European players from the many games I do play and the issues they need to deal with.
Major reason why I stick to games originating in the West, preferrably in the United States. I always feel if you are outside the country of origin you are basically a second or third class customer.
If there really was as much lag as they said, and I doubt it as I hardly experienced any, then everyone was lagging. So you were at no disadvantage to everyone else. But this argument held little water with players who kept a monitor on fps and had mucho angst. I questioned their rigs, connections and using UI mods that updated in real time like the combat mods. This though was not the issue apparently, even though many of us had next to no lag, it was always the game not them.

- If lag doesn't exist for you they everyone else is lying right?
then everyone was lagging.
- Except you....right?
So you were at no disadvantage to everyone else.
- unless you were not lagging, which you say you is the case, and so they were at a disadvantage....
But this argument held little water
- Neither does yours, in fact it is either complete fabrication or a mix of blinkered faith and lies.
with players who kept a monitor on fps and had mucho angst.
- Mucho angst....about FPS rates.....that you say didn't happen....
I questioned their rigs, connections and using UI mods that updated in real time like the combat mods.
- Blame everything except the actual problem....you argue as if you might be slightly religious.
This though was not the issue apparently, even though many of us had next to no lag, it was always the game not them.
- It is always the players fault didn't you know. Server crashes...players fault. Bots in game....players fault.....crappy game design....players fault....Emperor swapping....players fault....profit for game below target...players fault.
anyone playing EU servers care to comment on the latency issues I'm considering resubbing.
Truth be told, I'm looking at rift, swtor and eso.
A few soundbites off the eso forums:
It was awsome. AB Campaign was full and I had no ability lag at all. Not once. I am located in Sweden.
Germany Ping down from 130-200 to 20-30 Weapon swapping is noticeably faster and the game feels more responsive overall.
Nope not much (no location given)
No noticeable changes here. (no location given)
Yes less lag and better ping for me, happy that it moved. (no location given)
I had a great experience in PvE right after the server came online. Then some ability lag and death to invisible attacks started creeping up on me again, but it was never as bad as before. The controls were mostly responsive for me all evening, and that is a huge improvement.

If it was down to the game, we would all have the same lag so where is the problem? We would all be equally disadvantaged. Apart from a bit of keep lag I saw nothing, but that does not invalidate that point. If we are all in the same location and only you are getting the lag, its you not the game.
You are joined by the many on here who say there was lag, in game you don't hear about it. I asked my guild, I asked in Zone chat in Cyrodiil, hardly anyone had any. So do I believe players in game, or posters on here? In game any day.
As I am supposed to be religious let me finish with:
Comments
Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.
PS3
It's coming along, slowly...
VR Revamp, Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood, Spellcrafting and Imperial City in the future as well as a justice system.
And now this which was a major complaint. Hopefully by console launch this game will be something special.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

....so take your pick :-)
Pretty awesome stuff.. Combat responsiveness and ghost death in PvP were big reasons I walked away.
If that's gone, the game is definitely heading in a good direction.

Amen.
I am religious, both a genius and ignorant while also delusional it seems. Three labels in two posts, is that a record?
Rather than allow you to continue to derail this good news thread about TESO I will just say, your lag is history now.
