What's with all the hackers?

I'm doing the trial trying to give this game another chance. Seen about 10 hackers so far. There's no way it's normal for different classes to teleport to mobs while permanently spamming their attack button and sliding around at mount speeds. Doesn't seem to be any way to report them and I'm finding new ones everywhere, would be a game just to report them all.

 

Is this a common thing, hackers/bots? Cause there is a lot of them...

That has unfortunately been one of their flaws since the start. It used to be much worse, to the point where you couldn't even craft since every single node was pretty much taken by teleporting bots, but after ~a month or so, they finally started weeding them out. However, they are still there to an extent, and while Carbine is working on things, they're somewhat...back-logged. Which is sort of a problem with the game at whole, lots of potential, but just not the manpower yet, giving a "rushed" feeling, with many things taking frustratingly long to really address (Such as the entire Blighthaven zone still being bugged to where all the quests have no actual quest text pretty much.)

If the bots bug you though, I'd probably suggest waiting for a while before really buying, while Carbine gets the kinks worked out.

1 - yeah you can report them

2 - there are several addons now that actually track players in the zone your in and if they detect people using teleport hacks (which the addon does by itself) it gives you a notification of said player and a button to click to report them.

 

all games have hackers but carbine is doing a good job at throwing down the ban hammer.
