Id hope so, but it seems like in games nowadays, there are so many players, many player I run into don't take RP seriously which makes it less fun. So even if you are on a RP server, it usually doesn't feel like it.
But we'll see, I mean most games have at least 1 I think. Maybe someone can shed some light with some article links.

I've gotten myself all nostalgic by thinking back to the good old wow days (2008-2011 for me) and how much I would get engrossed in RP and just fall in love with the stories and characters, hell that was the only reason I played it haha.
Been searching for a new home for years, where there's a good RP community, that's what I consider home aha
As a care bear desperate for PVE servers, I did see some alpha talk about the issue a while back. If memory serves they did say they'd "try" to implement something eventually but initially there is no chance at server types.
Many RP communities have taken it upon themselves to declare a server as the 'RP server' and work from there. I know there is no chance there will ever be PVE servers but they did say something more positive about integrating RP.

As I'm playing from the UK and planning to also PVP, I wouldn't be able to play on a US server due to MS issues
