[Balmung][FC] Rotten Luck is recruiting

codekittencodekitten Member Posts: 59

Rotten Luck is presently looking for more folks to fill our core spots in order to gear and down Coil T5 and above. We plan to clear other content as well once we get a static group together that can listen and follow directions. It will be a learning process for most.

We are presently in need of healers and dd's. Oddly enough we have tanks covered but we could still stand to get a couple more if a casual friendly raiding guild sounds like a good fit for you.

The guild site is here: http://rottenluckffxiv.enjin.com/home. Some information needs to be updated, like as a example we are more or less focusing on making our core raiding group at the moment instead of being RP focused.

We do use a voip system, I can provide the information to you in private via a message here or skype (Rosekitten89). Once you have the information feel free to hang out in the chat and get to know us. I afk off and on throughout the day so if no one seems to be on or replying at that moment please stick around a little bit.

If you have further questions please feel free to ask here or message me.

Semi-off topic, but how does one RP exactly? yeah I could google but would prefer to ask someone "live" I suppose. Maybe an example if possible. I'm just usually the type of person to play for levels and progress, but that question has always been in the back of my mind.

It's like writing a story but bouncing ideas back and forth off another person or conjoined writing where you have to adjust what you probably had planned to go with what actually happened or how the other character(s) reacted. That's the more simply way I can think of to explain it. More or less in the game people will be sitting at tables or standing around and doing emotes and typing things out in say throughout the world. More commonly in the major cities but you cross it every so often in the middle of no where.

I've seen some go as far as to typing out conversations or interactions with npcs actually.. I RP a little myself but I don't think I'm dedicated enough to start talking to a npc.

To go into a little more detail.. more or less if someone is Rp'ing then they have some sort of plan or back story  for the character. Like most will run around as adventurers and talk about whatever quest they went on (rarely actually meaning the quests you used to level or for the story). Others play more common folk so to say and state they are a barmaid or you can guess they are by their actions with others or towards you (like if someone was asking  for your drink order at a tavern).

Lol everyone has their own thing I suppose. So I was reading your site, are you the creator or like an officer or something for your guild/fc?

Officer, been sort of slacking at my job of recruitment so .. here I am trying to be productive. We tried to down a primal Extreme mode last night and got fairly close (people falling asleep heh). So if we had a few extra bodies we could count on around certain times it would help things along.

(also I do poorly at recruitment .. I hate just shouting in the game to try to get new members, I'd rather know the person can click a few links or sign up to a site and follow directions)

Its cool, might hit you up on skype sometime. The transfer fees aren't horrible in XIV plus other games have been boring lately. XIV: ARR is meh to me, but honestly I did play solo while having to shout/look at party finder to get stuff that I wanted done, so might be different playing with a fc. Granted I did have a fc but they weren't really doing much, not even talking but they gave members access to keeping guild buffs up lol.

I try to avoid interaction outside of the FC as much as humanly possible.. that has been my experience with randoms...

The game is a lot more fun with others, I couldn't even begin to imaging trying to play solo. I left my last FC due to the leader more or less being inactive and the guild doing nothing. This FC that I'm in now is formed mostly of a group of people who work together and a few of their friends or other halves.

    We don't tent to type too much in Fc chat. but we read it if someone is typing. We've had people who didn't have a mic join us in Raidcall so it's not a requirement to talk. ^^;

edit:  we only just recently started using the buffs. Though we are only rank 7 so ... (small group so things have been a little slow from time to time). I don't think we can post double buffs yet but if there is something you need feel free to ask. ^^

Ah, you were giving your skype info at the start so thought the opposite lol. Anti-social recruiter. But um yeah I'll message you on here or w/e if I'm interested or have anymore questions.

Not really anti social.. I'm just socially awkward tis all. ^^; (more or less I'm online more then most in our FC so I get to try to play at getting new members).
