Is it realy all that hard to program game for Mac's that only Id and Blizzerd have got it figured out?

Is it that expensive to add that bit of code that it makes the expandid player base moot?

Is microsoft using there defacto monopoly and stoping game companys from publishing cross platform games?

I get the whole xbox/gamecube/ps thing. Way different gameing styles. I can live with that.

Although perhaps the new ps3 will have a sony online game when it comes out. Being a year or so away I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Just wondering.

In the end, it is about hardware and economy. Not as many people would buy mac games. Games would have to be recoded for mac parts, which is a bother. It is just not economical.

It's all a catch 22 really. They don't program for Mac because less than 4% of the market actually uses one. However, if that percentage were to grow, it would suddenly find it would have more games being produced for it. However, I would never lead with games as the reason to buy one. By the way, I love Macs, and eagerly look forward to owning my next one, which is hopefully very soon.
