well its kinda tiring seeing every other post saying this game is great for this n that reason and trying to sell it to other people..what most of the AA fan boys dont realize is that the game hasnt gone live yet..your / most people ahead of you are playing a paid beta version of the game...when the game goes live all bets are off..sure youll see a huge flux in people and busy servers but remember its F2P! that also means twice as many bots, twice as many spammers, twice as many hackers and if you dont belive me just check around on the interwebs n youtube the hacking is insane
i really wanted to want this game for a long long time but all i hear is bad things since it hit US ..and doing digging on my own in the other countrys hacking and selling gold n botting is not frowned upon as its hated here...sure theres bots n spammers in every game now but when companys dont care or regulate it in their titles its just a huge mess waiting to happen...thats bad and not really worth my time imo
and for all the people that think trion can change this or that just beacause its in the "states" ..no.. it does not work like that its not their game nor coding they will have their hands tied
Ok, finally I could play it by myself in CBT3. Well.. at first I was a bit surprised that it looks better than in all of the YT videos and streams - so I'd say graphics are ok. But nevertheless it's a pretty mediocre game overall. The combat system is so outdated.. after the first couple of hours I wished me back in ESO and even WildStar. I know that it gets better when you're leveling up and getting more and more skills. But even with 2-3 skills I had much more fun in the other two big MMOs of 2014. But then there are the quests.. I mean WHY? It felt so tedious to do all these freakin' quest hubs again. I've got no problems with quests in general but the story in ArcheAge (so far) is lame as hell. Not one single quest of the first 4 hours of playtime was interesting or engaging. It was just random asian guys talking about nonsense. zzzZZZzzz. The class system could be kinda cool.. but it was such a big turn-off for me with these dumb quests and the dull combat system that I had to uninstall the game already. I wish ArchAge the best.. but I can't see why this game should get a healthy population and a glorious future.
1. we want a huge game world, full of life and progression and adventure.
2. we want meaningful world pvp, something that will encourage players to delve into this aspect of this game with their friends and either rip reward for their effort or suffer for their lack of skill.
3. we want meaningful crafting/gathering professions. something that is player driven and immensely affect the gameplay.
4. we want endless class customization, we don't want to dragged down by those band-aid classes we see in every mmorpg these days.
5. we want meaningful housing, not some instanced small rooms that doesn't affect the rest of the game or has no meaningful tie to the rest of the game.
6. we want a player driven experience, the game should provide us a system that will allow us to mold the game world into our liking.
7. and the most important part is this : WE WANT ALL OF THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE FOR TOTALLY FREE. WE DON'T WANNA PAY A DIME FOR IT BECAUSE GAME DEVS DON'T NEED MONEY. IF YOU CAN'T GIVE THOSE FOR FREE, YOUR GAME SUX.
Now do you realize why all the hate? AA gives all from 1-6 but it doesn't abide by the 7th point, so enter the hate train.

If you are out of LP, you cant do a damn thing about it.
I think you can buy potions in the cash shop to reset it but this to me is another reason not to play.
Ahhhh, and that begins the pay 2 win argument... I was told the LP were added to "control the economy", if thats true the game was weak from the beginning. Oh wait! It's weak anyway, aside from a few picturesque fresco's, the graphics are weak, not quite early Everquest 1, but close.
