Total Cost: $1507.92 without shipping. Feasibly you could go a couple of steps lower on the processor and possibly cut out the 1TB storage drive as well to save some money. This build is also assuming you are going to use your old DVD drive from your last computer since there is little benefit to buying a new one. It gives you as much power as I could muster on $1500, but some other people around here like Quiz may have some better ideas.
Why the bother with an I7 then get a 760? Better off saving $100(edit make that $300) getting an I5 and a better GPU he wants this for purely gaming so this would make FAR more sense. Also he really just needs a cheap SSD boot drive so that could save another $60 bucks there to be put towards a GPU the motherboard I listed is about $80 cheaper and gives him everything he needs the average PC gamer won't even use half the features on those higher end MOBOs so that's another $80 towards a better GPU.
That is also a very odd choice for RAM. Why go with 1333 when the latency isn't even better than 1600 RAM and the speed of 1866 almost always counteracts the slight increase in latency if you grab higher end ones and tends to only be $10 more than 1600?
Also anything above 1600 is likely not needed for gaming but RAM is cheap nowadays so I simply say why not.
Oh damn I didn't even notice which I7 you chose simply saw the I7 and assumed it was the 46/790K so make that save $300+* by going with the I5 that I7 is just INSANE overkill. So with all that saved plus the few suggestions I made OP could get a lower priced 290x, Bread suggests a regular 290 but I have been seeing REALLY good deals on 290Xs lately which only puts them about $30 more than a 290, and still likely be able to afford Windows.
