beta access question

I've been looking through the faq and forums and I haven't found a definite answer. I realize the game is in beta now, so if you purchase one of their founder pack things that give you beta access, is the game always up and running or do you have to wait for the beta events only? After looking at the game it looks like something my wife and I might enjoy and would be willing to give the beta a try but not if you're limited to playing in small windows of time.

    Beta founder's packs are limited to beta weekend events only. You would have to buy the Alpha founder's pack to play 24/7 which at this point probably isn't worth it. There is a lot of speculation that the game will be released in a month or so. Also, both alpha servers are pretty packed at the moment.
