I had a blast with the guild. Built another ship. Made new char to lvl 30. Did the quest till lvl 19, then just built and Pvped.
Did finish the main story quest to get the gilda stars. Now the guild has 10 farms, 2 houses, and 2 boats. I havent done any trade packs yet. I still have a lof of stuff I want to do.
Oh, and F2P. You get what you pay for..basically NOTHING. I blame Obaman for the new generation of freeloaders
Ill have to look up on how badly it failed in Korea, I know its doing well In Russia, and Im hoping till do well her.
Niche game is niche. Not expecting it to be a blockbuster game. Just a game I will play for months.
Dont play if you goin to think you can much as F2P. Dont play alone, you'll be screwed. Dont expect fun filled days of questing, abd story. Think outside the box. If you cant do these things...
Edit: Do yourself a favor and have Limb Bizkit Youtube Playlist on or some other playlist when you are grinding.
Such a complete waste of time. If you want to play this game properly, even in beta, buy a founder's pack. I have lost count on how many "quests" I did and still level 19. It is so bad, I am going to skip the betas because I am already burned. 99.9% of my guild members are founders and the exp gain (using LP for exp since there have no issue with LP regen) + boost is ridiculous. Within 2-3 days they have reached max level. Even others that were 9 levels before me surpassed me so easily it was so irritating to watch.
On top of that 99.9% will SKIP (not read content and spam F) story/side quests because that is what the game is and everybody will powerlevel to death. By the time you reach 50, it should take you 2 weeks-1 month as a hardcore with a founder. As a casual, send me a letter when you do.
LP regain? Do not even ask. You might as well go and hang yourself and do yourself a favor.
You want an LFG tool for server? "Go back to WoW scrub". There are still so many basic stuff missing; i.e linking items when the character screen is open (you must unequip and then link)
And with the current status quo, this is a straight out P2W farmville shitfest. To give you an idea; Most major guilds will have crafters that will have founder's packs + buying LP pots from cash shop on the daily basis.
The P2W_NOT advocates should at least do us a favor and offer an apology. Going back to the game now to level up due to guild orders.
it's going to hurt trion losing your payment to them...oh wait...

Player experience for F2P players is always more grindy than P2P players. Its a known fact, and industry standart. Does not makes the game P2W. By definition, P2W game is a game where you can buy something from the cash shop that will give you an advantage over another player in combat, and is not acquirable by any means other than cash shop. For instance, World of Tanks used to be pay2win, not because premium players would grind faster, but because they were selling "gold ammo" which had higher chance of penetrating tank's armor, and could only be bought for cash currency.
It will take you more time to lvl if you are F2P player. Not my much, but still. Does not make a game P2W by any stretch.
It's P2W when you talk about games with resource control. Then, leveling time is absolutely a factor. And If I can pay to level faster it means I can get the resource before you, I keep it. By you getting there 2nd...........

You can call it p2w, and make a great argument why the term fits. You just can't make it sound bad to people willing to pay for their games.
I really don't want to get into defining P2W. The only evidence will be down the road a bit.
When the dust settles, and the game finds its "stride", who will be the guilds and players who dominated and have control over the flow of the game?
Obviously, we won't be able to know for sure, but I'm still going to say that the top power players will for the most part, be the ones who have made heaviest use of the cash shop.
As for who wants to pay for their games, I can only wonder, at what point do they stop trying to keep up with how much others spend?

Well I'm sure there are arguemnts for both sides. But in the end, your $15/mo = my $15/mo so we both get the same $15.00 of win each month. That is unless, you spend $30.00 to get another account in order to obtain more LP than I do.

That's true for any game out there that has any sort of time gating. And pretty much all games have time gating.

Different games have different possibilities with what you can do with multiple accounts. Some games offer a much greater degree of advantage for subsequent accounts than others. As far as time gates? You get 30 days. Everyone gets 30 days. Even multiple accounts get 30 days. (Unless I misunderstood what you mean by time gating)

Multiboxing isn't something new to f2p mmos so no one can really make the argument that someone paying 2 subs will have more lp and there for it's p2w. Running 2 subs in eve gives a huge advantage. Even wow had advantages to multiboxers. A single sub player fights that by working with a guild of players and not trying to bank roll the solo hero that takes on the server.
The limit you're looking for is $15/month. That's all anyone should expect to pay in a game to be competitive. I've never seen anything about AA that says you can't be if you pay for a sub. I've seen lots of hypothetical arguments about LP and winning....but those only really matter on forums.
If you can't or wont pay for a sub, the game doesn't owe you the same experience as someone that does. That is the wrong expectation we keep seeing over and over in these threads.
When a game is FTP always assume that it mean free to try , pay to play ! You want a good experience you must pay unless you play a low budget 2D browser game.
Archeage is still a bargain if you compare with ESO, Wildstar because you don't have to pay the box price and I like archeage more so for me Archeage deserve a sub and I don't mind to pay for something I enjoy
Yeah, at least I didn't have to pay $60 up front for another quest hub grinder, with no features after the leveling process, that haven't been done to death.

I absolutely agree with the red. As far as the stuff above it, It's like I said, I really don't want to get into re defining P2W. We will just have to wait and see what kind of relationship the heavy hitters who emerge in AA have with cash shop use and/or multiple accounts.
Sounds like we went through the same thing as a f2p player during my first and second beta.
A friend of mien recently got me a founder's package for the third beta despite the fact that i was going to sub on release and the game suddenly opened up to me.
I had so much labor points that skipped a few levels due to crafting hereafter stones and was 5 to 6 levels above my current leveling zone. In fact, grinding mobs that are 2 or more levels above you doable and will net you a lot more exp in the long run then quests at ANY level as long as you have an AoE build but you'll miss out on money, weapons, and armor you get from quests if you don't do those certain quests.
I don't know what Trion is going to do with it's f2p population because it isn't going to work in it's current form. Without a guild, they will not survive and while it is encouraged to join a guild whether you are a f2per or a p2per, f2p players are worse off then a soloer p2p player.

They still drop generic loot, even for patrons it's extremely rare to get an unidentified item from standard mobs. The best way to get loot currently is dungeons.

My toons are level 20 and I never saw anything drop from a mob that wasn't a cutpurse or a quest item. I did get lucky on one of them with quest gear - had 4 rare pieces when I unlocked them.
