Casual friendly game with casual endgame

TechnoZombieTechnoZombie Member Posts: 5

Hey guys looking for another game. Preferably a game that a casual player can have a good time and not be too far behind. Maybe even a more solo friendly game with casual endgame. Something that doesn't bend or break how you are in the game. I've been playing rift since launch and I love it, but I find myself not being able to keep up with end game and raid too much. So any suggestions would help. Thanks ahead of time!!

If you like Star Wars I'd recommend Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's very casual friendly, with each class having their own storyline to follow as you level up. There's also the standard group content such as flashpoints and warzones that you can do.

The endgame content isn't all that hardcore, unless you are set on running Operations (raids) on Nightmare mode. In which case you'd need a dedicated guild to do that. (Like on every MMO that has raiding)

They also added housing to the game last tuesday, though it's only for subscribers at the moment (headstart thing), it will become available to everyone in two months. (AKA for prefered and F2P players)

It's also free just like Rift (with an option to sub) if you want to give it a try.

Guild Wars 2 is also a very casual friendly MMO if you prefer a fantasy title. Both are very solo friendly (as in you can easily level from 1 to level cap on your own)

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

To me it seems you have a contradiction there.  You are concerned about endgame but you are unwilling or unable to keep up with the requirements.

Do you really need an endgame is my question, I guess?  I would say you are looking for something more open ended, such as ArcheAge.   There you would have more options which you could choose to do at your own pace rather than having to "keep up"

WoW sounds perfect for you. You can solo all you want, raid through LFR, and if you ever choose to dedicate more time/effort the guild-based raid content is the best in the biz.

Everquest 2 has a very soloable content, especially if you spring for the mercenary pack from Age of Destiny. the endgame can be intense and tends to be fairly guild oriented. however, there are plenty of nonguilded people looking to endgame content like the open raid zones and the like.

like all communities it has it's trolls, but overall EQ2 has one of the most friendly and helpful communities ive witnessed in an mmo.

if you have the cash and the desire you could also purchase a level 85 character (level cap is currently 95) which would make it even more casual friendly for you.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have been dabbling in swtor and I think I'm gonna give Everquest 2 a try. It looks like a very good game just a little dates. I should have also mentioned I'm trying to stay in the f2p department.

Neverwinter is pretty casual friendly.  It has group based combat that is also easy to get into with a typical LFG tool that works for quick group based content on up to actual dungeons.  However, I would guess that 90% of the game is actual solo content to also include plenty of solo dungeons.  It's F2P setup is pretty decent since it was designed with that model in mind from the ground up.  Firefall is also looking to be promising as a decent F2P title.  Of course if you prefer tab targeting and big hotbars filled with abilities then stay away from those two games.
