Well, i've been for a long time without playing any MMORPG. I was bored and they were always the same. But you know when you feel that your force is coming back? This is the case, and I would like you to advice me about a really good game, some good MMORPG that i can play and that is interesting and ... no korean grinders please. I like Western Games, if possible AAA titles. I like PvP the most but now is not my priority, but to find a good, outstanding game.
Thanks in advance!

The MMORPG's available right now are basically the same (gameplay) that was available 10 year ago, except with 1000% more cash shops. If you are looking for something new and fresh to play, better wait another 4-6 years and check back.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Man you are not alone.
Been so long since I played a decent mmorpg
Currently out of boredom I'm trying Aura Kingdom which mind you it's not good but none of the recent released mmorpgs looked interesting. I'm sick on staring at youtube watching other people playing to pass time.
Last mmorpg I played was Final Fantasy XIV which was one of the few mmorpgs I lasted more than a month (3 months plus 1-2 months on the first version before rehaul) but endgame is kinda repetitive and when I played there wasn't much to do other than farming tokens for new gear.
Guild Wars 2 was ok but the endgame sucks and leveling new alts doing the same storyline is kinda annoying. I also don't enjoy much the leveling experience and the lack of skill choices you get from weapons. (Have 3 lvl 80 alts)
Secret world I love what the game tries to portray but the thing I have a gripe on is all those skills choices yet mostly dealing the same damage only a different animation or some minuscule difference. I can't understand that and I quickly stop playing it.
Continent of the ninth was cool too but the servers are terrible, I get so much lag my characters sometimes rubber band and worse sometimes I lose connection to the server.
There's more but those listed are/where quite good in my eyes (Excluding Aura Kingdom. It's fun but nothing special) just have some problems that made me stop playing after a while.
Yes man I understand you the most. Well, I played the secret world with a friend some months ago when she was at her College Holydays. A gamer girl, yes, and a clever one, but it was nearly impossible for us because the wold and graphics were stunning at some point, and all the secrecy and occult societies and everything, it was amazing buit.... As she said more than once - guy, it has not the magic -. They were terrible words that we were able to check out after two weeks, character advancemente was great, it has a dinamyc gameplay - compared to what was in the market then - and finally she parted away back WoW and her guild, (one of the most important raiding guilds in EU) and that´s was everything but of course I thinnk in some moment I will return, many misteries unsolved and a good environment design were very appealing to me. But right now I Think in need of something diferent. Were you in FFXXIV:ARR? Man, you are a hardcore player then. I took that game under my radar and made research, and it was crazy problematic for some time but now it seems that the game is totally over-hauled and running smooth. But my actual PC build - a chep one, I had to pay taxes and everything by the time I was buying this - do not allow me to play it on its optimal settings. Maybe I would wait. Never knew about continent of the ninth, but I hate server problems. I've investigating Aura Kingdom since you mentioned it and I think I will give it a try. But now that is my return to game arena I will be checking another games, too. Thanks, my fellow gamer.

@Ergload I'm making some research on Achaea. It looks interesting. But later today i will be able to say something. Thanks! and ah, I love old school, essentially, because I'm a part of the old school and curiously, I'm a part of the not new but the forthcoming school, that will be formed by former oldschool players tired of the one trick pony that the companies are trying to sell us everyday.
*researh in progress*
Thanks, man!
About Asheron's Call that is really incredible that we must be returning to where we first came from. It doesn't mean that I will jump back onto UO, but sometimes I've been thinking about and... Seriously I've been taking in consideration to do it. But let's focus on advance! Thanks, I will start research on AC later, as my day is full of obligations I can't avoid.
Talk later on!

I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer, some might do.
Final Fantasy as a franchise is one of my favourite so obviously I would play an mmorpg of it (As I did with FFXI) I never had those problems, maybe my pc was up to the system requirements heh. I actually felt the first version of FFXIV having more places to explore with actual hard monsters but apparently people don't want those types of mmos anymore.
Archeage interests me too (And I'm a person who hates PVP) but I'm not paying to play in alpha when the game is going to be F2P.
Goodluck to you on finding a game to pass some time.
If you end up giving it a shot, I'd recommend joining a big House (guild) with active members that will help you out. Something like the Sentinels or the Ashura.
What are your preferences? Fantasy settings? Sci-fi?
As for PvP, which is it you like? Open world PvP? Or do you prefer something along the lines of WoW's battlegrounds? (instanced PvP)
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Only games I can recommend are ones that aren't out yet. Black Desert and EQN seem like some of the best Sand Parks that will be coming out after doing research on and playing the former game. We'll just have to wait and see how their cash shop options are when they come out. Though Black Desert in itself is the first game that I was actually excited about after trying it; some two to three years ago I had the opportunity to play the Korean CBT 3 or 4 of Archeage and thought it was a horrible game by contrast (also wrote something on this site about archeage before anyone knew anything about it). Unfortunately it has been made worse with release and patches, and westernization was only worked on with the cash shop while keeping the game Korean at the core (not that such a thing is bad if that's your type of game).
With eastern games becoming more exposed to the public eye, most of what I know is pretty much public knowledge now. It isn't like years ago when someone could be playing AA and everybody else asking you what that was. Though Black Desert is definitely the first game that I'm genuinely excited about that is coming from that market, even playing it in it's early stages.
As silly as it is, the thing that got me most excited is it's detection system. It's literally Assassin Creed's with butting shoulders against others and pushing them to the sides (NPCs in large towns and the like). In addition to Horses having to jump over NPCs and players if they're on the road and in your way. Also the weather system that is actually random, and you can see the clouds rolling in in game and on the world map. The ability for your equipment to show wear and tear is also nice; fall into mud and it gets dirty. It's parkour system seems to be second to none, and you can pickpocket and steal from merchants and players. I actually watched a video whereby people actually had to find a wild horse, get a lasso and carrots, and capture it cow-boy style. Then the horse never disappears. You ride it, dismount it, and it stays or wonders around unless tied to something. The just has a lot of soul and I felt like I was playing a mix between Assassin's Creed, Witcher III, and the Elder Scrolls mixed in with Ultima Online with it's crafting and housing and sand box nature.
The new movie of Witcher III reminded me so much of Black Desert as a whole. I can't wait to play both of those games in earnest.
Just the latest crop - SWTOR, GW2, TESO, Wildstar.
All very different, all top notch quality.
I would also add Firefall as the game is very polished and high quality but it has got some severe conceptual issues, the game is kind of a lackluster. Still sports well made core shooter mechanics though.
@ergload after coming here I've been truly involved in make my steps to really find that Achaea is really and impressive and BIG thing. Now I'm trying to choose the fittest race/class for me. Really, that's awesome!

Really it's like this, mmo are single player RPG's, maybe they become trendy if some day some random marketimg executive thinks it's time to say the truth: we want you to pay fee and cash shop for playing our SRPG's as long as you believe in the dogma that other players are there with you, but with no point.
mMMm. Paul Barnett, the idea is mine, so don't come here boasting about your new envisionment about SRPG/MMO because the idea is mine! That said: well, maybe it is what is left. When you scatter a population in too small portions some go there, others up there and the MMORPG gamers are playing together in WoW. That's the truth plain and simple. With the giant always hammering on the head of others, we are shattered and spreaded to a little worlds, inhabited by the few that are still original and brave.
But they are small worlds. Maybe SRPG'd in a mmo fashion clothes.
About the questions: I prefer open world PvP, PK modes and as much, RVR. No need to loot. I don't think looting corpses being a good idea as it makes the non-PvP Big Majority not wanting to do PvP, so you force a population to avoid one side of tthe game that they could enjoy as much as the PvP'ers, the only game who put things in their place was curiously a themepark: WAR. It was a kind of sociological experiment about the matter. I could explain it but I'm sligthly afraid that is too late for me and tomorrow I have to be at work. Anyway, I will follow my argument.
Besides that: Firefly or whatever the name is looks funny. Enterteining but not MMORPG'y. I mean, it's like an e-spot with no inmersion and non-RPG factors in it. But tomorrow I will see.
In the meantime I've fallen in the most terrible of sins: downloaded Neverwinter, whichc i fear is zero PvP and a main Single RPG.... But I need to get some action... and soon.
Thanks to you all.
G'Nite, Sirs.
