So I've been looking to play an action based combat MMO again, and have booted up TERA recently. I'm having fun, but am also wondering how ESO is faring right now. I started playing at launch and left due to bugs, bots, and balance issues and was wondering if any of these had been fixed. Also, if someone has played both, which would they choose? I'm really hesitant to drop the 15 for ESO only to find out that issues hadn't been addressed or that TERA was simply the better game. Thanks for your input guys!

tere is a good a game.. and f2p.. drop a couple of bucks in it and your live will be easier in the world..
if you enjoy tera combat.. you wont enjoy eso..
my advise stick with tera online
I picked up Tera for the first time last night, having a blast so far.
Played TESO since early alpha, and I don't find it enjoyable as Tera.
As far as the bots go, they've been fixed AFAIK. I know they've been doing a lot of other bug fixes as well, but I don't know if they're all gone.
I could never get into TERA, but my advice would be to play it until you get bored or feel it simply isn't your thing (like someone else already suggested). Then if you still feel like ESO, resub and try it again.
Have fun playing with those Castanic and High Elven girls! :P
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

I could see myself going back to Tera, I couldn't imagine playing ESO again.
I think it took SWTOR about 2 years after that horrible launch to turn into a decent game so I'm guessing ESO is going to need at least two years to marinate before it's ready to go.
Well I played both and I would have to say Tera. At least when it comes to PVE. That's considering you don't mind quest hubs. However the combat in Tera is a lot more fluid in my opinion though I do admit I love the ES IP more. Just not in the format of ESO currently. Not to mention Tera has a pretty good F2P model.
If you are a PVP'er then I can't comment on either since in Tera I just simply never bothered and with ESO I tried on several occasions to log into Cyrodil but I always seemed to get stuck in an infinite queue. I got into it once at low levels to do some siege engine quests, but that was about it. /shrug

Eso combat not as good, but imo the art style is better and no arguing the questing is way better.
I would obviously start with TERA first since it's f2p... there's nothing to lose assuming you don't have download caps where you are since it's like 30-40gb or some crap.
I only played ESO during the beta and found the gameplay incredibly dull and boring. And no I didn't get very far, maybe level 10 or something.
If you play TERA and like the combat then you should try to stick with it for a while until you start doing instanced dungeons, if you don't like the combat and don't like any of the classes there's no reason to stick with TERA because the combat is pretty much all it has going for it imo.
Two different games with different combat.
I prefer Tera's combat over Elder Scrolls Online's combat.
I also prefer the rather open world.
Having said that, if one likes the Elder Scrolls Lore and fooling around with builds then Elder Scrolls Online could fit the bill.
