This game is the girl you dated all throughout high school and then went your separate ways when college came around only to find out that at your high school 10 year reunion, she's single and is still in love with you.
Just an update, but I've been able to play for a couple hours now and I gotta admit, this game is fun. It's got the skill progression and immersion factors DOWN. I'm really thinking that this is going to be my new MMO till I can fork some money over to pvp in Albion Online or I may just wait to enjoy this more. Either way, anyone who can appreciate games like AC of old will absolutely love this game!
At this time asking for a separate forum for Project Gorgon will have the opposite effect of getting the word out. It will cause threads to be shuffled off to one of the hidden corridors of MMORPG.com

I don't want to sound like the community police or anything like that but I would like to see a few things take root in the mindset of the community. Agree or disagree it's your choice.
Character Names: Currently there is not a naming filter so you can pretty much name you character anything you like. The community is small but growing and if we do not speak up when we see offensive character names then we are just condoning those names and it just encourages people to see how far they can press the naming issue.
Ninja Looting: At this time loot rights go to the person that opens the corpse of the mob. Please use common courtesy when hunting and do not loot someone's kill. If you see someone making their way to a boss and has cleared the way and is about to engage the boss, do not think they have done that just so you could quickly run in and kill it. If someone is killing a hard to kill mob don't jump in at the that few seconds kill the mob, loot the mob and then leave. We are a community and the game lives and dies by that community. Mobs will re-spawn, more loot will drop and the world will keep going on so take the time and help those that need help but don't sour their gaming experience and their feelings towards your character.
Ground Loot: If you see a pile of "stuff" on the ground and you would like to pick it up since no one else is around to claim it; watch the area for a bit and see if someone is just transferring things from one character to another character. You may want to use the Global channel to see if anyone claims the loot. People farm for different things and it takes time to do that so please check before picking up loot that is obviously a loot pile.
Global Chat: There are only a few chat channels available right now so most people use Global Chat for pretty much everything. If you want to say something then go ahead and do so but please stop the drama. If you want to tell the Dev's that all that they have done sucks and how much better it would be if you had done the code; send them an email telling them so, don't keep ranting and pushing you agenda into the Global chat Channel.
Helping Newbies: Remember when you first entered the game and found out that you needed to explore and find everything out for yourself? You had to talk to the NPC's, Read books, solve riddles and locate everything in the world by exploration. Please do not spoil the game for new players by giving them the answers to everything on a silver plater. If they are really stuck then talk to them in private "tells" instead of telling them in Global Chat where others may read how to do something when they wanted to figure it out on their own. Half of the fun in the game is exploration and figuring thins out. Please do not spoil it for others.

I wish all games enforced not only the ridding of profane names but leetspeak as well. Surnames should always be allowed..with spaces and apostrophes. If not at first then eventually... and no numbers unless it follows the surname as denoting a lineage or junior./senior. Although I don't RP regularly in MMOS I like to look around and feel I'm immersed somewhat. And @$$kicker is not something I want to see floating above a character's head. No names unless moused over is even better.. Its an (mmo)RPG for a reason. Most FPS multiplayer games..arena style for example...fine... name yourself whatever..but even games like Destiny..I just don't want to see this.

The kickstarter is going to fail. What does that mean for the game? It is unclear. It might fold or it might continue as the devs try to gain other funding. So if you expect to get in to this game you might be disappointed if it disappears soon.
I agree this game is lots of fun. Since I found out about the game on here I have been playing every day. No other games quite like this are around at the moment. I read some of the devs worked on ASherons Call. I never played that one but might check it out now.
