That's why a chance of having the original CoH is a good thing.
The delivery date on the City of Titans Kickstarter project was Nov 2015, so even if they are on track that's a long time. HaV doesn't have a due date. So in any case getting a CoH server license should make CoH fans happy while they're waiting for future games.
As for trusting them, these guys managed to make almost $700k off concept art and Unreal demos. It's possible that their technical side isn't strong, but when it comes to the business side they seems to know what they're doing.

I suspect that, until the deal goes through with NCSoft, we won't know exactly what the terms of the licensing agreement actually mean.@Mtibbs1989: This is a legitimate post by a legitimate company obtaining legitimate rights to the game name, etc. It is not a "private server running a dead game" via illegal or illegitimately used software.
I am generally familiar with these types of licencing deals. The 'normal' process is that you are given the rights to install and operate the software in the regions specified. However, you are not allowed to modify or reverse engineer the source code. This would allow the game to come back online in an 'as is' state, with no future updates, fixes, or any of the previous data.
When the server goes live it will be closer than I think. Right now it's a bunch of ppl talking about a game that went off line and wouldn't it be great if it was still going.
I for one swore of ever having anything to do with NCSoft after the way they treated us fans of COH. its not the first time they have done things like this...
That said.... I was really hoping to play COT when it came out. but.... if they are going to get into bed with NCSoft im going to have to find a different heroes type mmo or make one on my own.

Most likely because they wanted the source code. Everything! Completely tie themselves lose from NCSoft. And ofcourse NCSoft wouldn't have that.
