you do it the old fashioned way and either vendor your loot or shout in the trade channel.
You can join up to 5 guilds in ESO so it behooves you to belong to the many large trade only guilds that are out there.
I just make sure one of my guilds is a trade guild with a guild kiosk available. After all, I can only list an item at one guild store at a time so I don' t need more than one guild with a kiosk. I prefer to have my other guild slots be free for a PvP guild, a PvE guild, etc.
You could also play the enhancement component lottery. Even if you're not a crafter, you can deconstruct any green or better items for materials including the highly sought after components that crafters need to to turn white items to green, green to blue, etc. You don't need to put points into crafting to be able to deconstruct anything, although if you do put points into the ability that all crafts have to have a better chance to get good components out of deconstructing, you improve your odds.
All of those items needed for improvement as well as the mats you also get from decon sell quickly for pretty good coin just over trade chat... or you can hoard them in your bank for your future crafting needs - even if you don't craft it's handy to have some around in case you want something made for you.
Purple provisioning recipes and crafting trait books are also very quick to sell over chat.
I don't even bother to put something up for sale in the guild store unless it's purple or, if green or blue, part of sought after sets like "... of the warlock" etc."

So you sell stuff through guild vendors. Ok.
What if you are not a member of a guild?
join one? you can join up to 5....
Or sell it to NPC vendors or broadcast it in zone.

You stand inside a busy quest hub and /OOC "WTS (insert item here)"

Sell items to vendors. Funnily enough this generates cash.
Join a guild and sell stuff in store. This is more complex and satisfying than a AH, there are different guild stores, you use that to your advantage.
But how much money do you actually need in ESO? Selling to vendors would cover that, which is another reason why an AH is not needed.
