Great news, now just add in Faction based Open World PvP in all but the starter zones and you've got something interesting! Zerg single zone PvP just doesn't keep me coming back. Looking at you too ESO!
People should quit comparing GW1 to GW2 because they are really two different types of games. GW1 was a CORPG which allows it to have a totally different feel throughout the storyline. Sure GW1 was great and wonderful but that in no way takes away from what they have achieved with GW2 which is dealing with such a large number of players taking part in each area, multiple storylines converging together from different races and their different perspectives, as well as storylines from different aspects of the game (personal story, active open world, and living story)
They are managing (any maybe not perfectly, but still managing) to appeal to dungeon farmers, explorers, open world farmers, socialites, roleplayers, traders and even content locusts. They have some of the most difficult content (to organize and complete) that I have ever witnessed put into a game (I have still never seen the 3 wurms killed together) and we are waiting to see how they will increase the difficulty on other fights.
So please people, quit comparing apples to oranges.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

There will never be open world PvP in GW2 since the game was not designed to support it. There are no factions in GW2 and there won't be until the Elder Dragons are dead.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

Thank you! Finally some common sense.
