i heard ryl isnt free :( only for 14 days image

but are there any free servers????
or private servers????
and if u know some of them can u give me some details about it  pls !

    RYL went pay to play a few months ago.  The beta was free for a very long time, starting with the Malaysian over a year ago.  They went to RYL2: POTE at the beginning of this year and rushed it to release.  The unusual thing about this game, at least to me, is that the American company that has rights to distribute it seems to have little control over development.  RYL is infamous for slow updates, despite the efforts by Planetwide Games, who seemed to be just as frustrated as the players most of the time.

    I played closed and open betas for RYL1 and RYL: POTE.  I dropped out when the game when pay to play simply because I didn't feel it was worth it.  I believe if Planetwide Games had more control over the development the game would have been a great success.  Their team was very passionate about providing a game like no other, but was restricted by cooperation with the developers, who had the final say and seemed to be in no rush to produce anything.  In the future, this may change, which would greatly benefit the game.

    This game is very grind oriented, although a lot of fun once you get to the higher levels.  It is much more fun if you play with a regular group of people.  Solo'ing at mid to high levels is nearly impossible.  Also, the grind never stops.  There is always someone bigger and tougher than you unless you play 24/7.  You just slowly reduce the odds of running into that person as your level progresses.  Fortunately, in POTE, PvP is mostly consentual.  You don't have to be ganked out in the wilderness by a higher level dude unless you aggreed to do so.

    All in all, I had fun playing but couldn't justify paying to play with so many other excellent games out there.

    Hey, I heard aside from the tourney... RYL is also giving away free mp3 players if you sign up for a few play months of game play.. has anyone know about this?

    Yea the free mp3 player is for like 1 year of paid in advance subscription...i think when i went to see about the offer it said it was $160 for one year or something...and you get a 'free' mp3 player, and the founder's guild mumbo jumbo

    really? where could i get that free mp3? Did you avail that advance subscription?

    About the tourney that starts today, i think i will sign up for it, but i don't really know what good it'll do until i or the company gets the Lag problem fixed.  Hopefully, as other people here on MMORPG.com have told me, they are working on fixing it. image
