IMHO the game has some of the best combat of any mmorpg. They had players bottle necked and couldn't proceed to the end game and they quit. Carbine is knows what needs to be done and are correcting problems.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
1)best action fast paced mmorpg combat i have ever seen after tera(whether you can handle it or not) WARNING FOR NOOBS, CASUALS, WHINERS AND HATERS: don't enter wildstar if you can't aim/dodge or have high reflexes, it is challenging not like any other game you have played each and every CC SKILLS can be dodged or countered with a diffrent mean whether it is disarm ( you have to jump and run to take your disarmed weapon from ground, stun (just spam f key not a very good counter but np),knockdown( use the dodge button), blind( use cc debuff skill), tethered (destroy the tether) and more can't remember
2)best housing system until now in any game i have ever seen( you can even have secret dungeons to enter for yourself and your neighbors only to loot O_O, low gravity mountains and full customizable/editable items)
3)new ideas (paths, classes(medic, spellslinger and esper), new races( mordesh(zombie like), mechari(robot like), chua(hamster like) ) all in a sci fi cartoonish humourish themepark niche hard core mmorpg called wildstar
4) best pve i have ever seen in any game you got lots of things to do ( challenges,quests,dungeons,adventures,raids(20 and 40 men),jumping puzzles and dailies) within different zones and monsters
5) i would say their pvp too is enourmous it is HUGE (3 different battlegrounds, 1v1,3v3,5v5 arenas, 40v40 warplots and world pvp between opposite factions)
6) the limited action set + amps+ tiers + role(dps, heal and tank) makes you different than any other guy with the same class you are
7) deep crafting system (mining, relic hunter, weaponsmithing, tailoring, cooking, gathering, harvesting, can't remeber the rest
8)best business model considered to be the second game that uses that model after eve online you simply buy the game but then you can get something called CREDD easily from in game gold and pay your monthly fee so you can simply play it free to play
9)with the quickest fixing and balancing response i have ever seen in any mmorpg believe me the DEVS ARE LISTENING AND HONEST
10)cinematics,dev speaks, trailers are on their site ( watch them and you will get everything you want to know)colours and art work are amazing maybe for me but it might shut off some of you.
11)This game in my opinion will not go f2p anytime soon and if they changed the model it might go b2p (actually if you played the game wisely and smartly you might end up playing the game b2p) so stop whining/crying about f2p, it isn't going to happen + it is a niche mmo mostly for hardcores just like eve online.
..Thanks for reading and those were my pros for wildstar please stay tuned for my cons on wildstar.

He posts it on multiple threads too lol, he doesn't know the real definition of challenge.
Anyway, the carbine train derailed as expected and they're mopping up the errors. Attunements were one of them. This game is headed straight for f2p at this rate so its smart for them to get as many people into content as possible.
Originally posted by Fusion Hardcore claims crumbling under the cries of casuals = respect gone entirely. (you don't make games hardcore by making attunements hardcore, you make the raids hardcore)
Can you blame them? hardcore players don't have enough numbers to sustain AAA MMO. I am glad they came to their senses.

The only reflex and dodge skills anyone now requires are those needed to avoid being trampled by the mass exodus of players fleeing this game
Wildstar has the slowest update system bar super-low Asian MMOs. It took them 2!!! TWO!!! months to change a few lines of code and transforming Silver to Bronze requirements. And before the self-loves start going about "how hard it is to manage/update games", it's not THAT hard fffssss...there is 0 interaction between this and anything else.
Unless 90% of Carbine's staff is fired, and replaced with 3 times more actually talented people...Carbine studios will be shut down soon.
The whole "best combat" posting going on is from brain-dead people, sorry. Combat is 2 dimensional instead of 1 dimensional (a.k.a. 99% player-based AOE spells instead of targetting 1 enemy and only hitting it). Tera, DragonNest, Blade and Soul, all have 3 dimensional combat where range/direction AND target matters. Go play those games if the only thing u care about is combat.
VIO is in every Wildstar post, claiming tje game is the bestest ever and always. Look, I bought it. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't my thing. If you feel tue need to come onto EVERY Wildstar post and spill your zealotry juice all over the forums, methinks you're well aware that the game isn't nearly as good as you claim it is. One needs only look at the FACT that 26 servers are being closed to know that. We get it. You like it. And claiming that dodging giant red marks on the ground separates the "noobs" from the "pros" makes me laugh. That's like saying the NFL is for noobs, and dodge ball is what the pros play.

1) it seems you didn't play wildstar to srat with 99% aoe spells O_O where did you come with such words , oh i can say...maybe cuz you didn't play the game to start with ???
2)blade and soul ...DIRECTION ???!! have you even played B&S ?? it is a tab target animated combat LOL
3)As for tera i played tera even before wildstar , it has a good combat i would consider it the second best mmorpg in combat but wildstar is far superior in crowd control effects/dodging/ and fast paced movements...
4)sorry man but i can't really take the word "brian dead" seriously from a guy who hasn't even tried to play the game ... kinda weird to hear from you , in the matter of fact it is hilarious, an advice instead, if i were you i would have gone by now to try the game and if i didn't like it , i will not whine on a wildstar thread about people being brain dead and waste my time because i can't handle its fast paced dodging/aiming combat or that would be so pathetic.....

Just out of curiosity, what content is it that casual players want that Wildstar does not have? Or is it just that the casuals want what the hardcore have, and that there is a larger gap between casual and hardcore in Wildstar?

Even with all these changes this game is too action orientated for me. I am even having problems with some of the harder boss fights in FFXIV ARR so I will never be able to handle the fights in Wildstar. I doubt I will go back. However I think this is a positive development.
Just out of curiosity, what content is it that casual players want that Wildstar does not have? Or is it just that the casuals want what the hardcore have, and that there is a larger gap between casual and hardcore in Wildstar?
Well, I will attempt an answer. First of all I would say that imo the game has many faults and poor design choices, and only a small minority of these have anything to do with the hardcore label.
Secondly, the attunement process before you can raid was a huge and repetitive time sink. It was simple content padding. Now if hardcore is needlessly wasting vast quantities of time on repetitive content then I am glad I am not hardcore.
I would say that the hardcore aspect of this game comes from the dungeons and raids.
First of all dungeons. There is a huge difficulty spike when you enter dungeons during the levelling process which means that people pug; die; quit; out-level the dungeon. There is no attempt in the design of the game to ease people into the more difficult content, and this is understandably a source of some frustration.
The raids are mainly hardcore because they require huge amounts of relentless concentration for many hours on end, not just from you, but from the other 39 players in your raid. If someone fucks up you all fuck up. This is a challenge, but for me the challenge would be entirely ignoring real life distractions (of which I have many) for that length of time, and actually wanting to a play a game this exhausting and desperate for attention after a week at work. These are challenges I cannot overcome and nor do I want to.
So what could be done for the casuals? Simple tiered dungeons. The elitists can still have their uber gear and the casuals something lesser. As for me it would not bring me back in any event.
@PioneerStew - this gent is spot on; good post chap.
The majority of the rest of these rants are simply cries about the difficulty. It would seem that Carbine has heard your cries, and are passing you a break.
I play a lot, so I might be out of my element on this, but are veteran adventures difficult? I get that if you use the dungeon finder you will always get a group that wants to race through, and you don't really know what happened in the end. Which would indeed detract from the experience.
I will say that the first time I stepped foot into Kel Vorath while leveling, it was a jolt into the serious face mode. But a wipe or two later, the fights weren't a big deal. But there is a line that has to be drawn somewhere if end game is difficult. In gaming, there isn't much better than figuring out a boss and taking it down for the first time.
