I think your disgust for these "Korean faces" is just what people call - racism. I understand why a lot of people don't like Asian games. They are just culturally intolerant and some of them are racists.
What Idon't get is how you can say this one is bland? I mean have you seen the Western crap lately? It's all a generic pile of crap. Unisnpired and bland.
Western MMO games = bland and crap. I actually find Asian games to have more interesting mechanics. If you can get used to their visual "style", some of their games are quite cool. E.g. Final Fantasy XIV.
You do realize that Asian and western video game markets have different approaches when it comes to designing games don't you? It has nothing to do with "racism, or cultural intolerance" it's down to the fact that these designers create games for different types of players.

I appreciate that Korea is putting out so many MMOs. There are really not that many countries that create MMOs other than the US and a few places in Europe so it's nice to have some choice and competition. And while the style might not be for everyone (I tolerate it more than like it), they are still making innovations to the genre.
And seriously why beat up an entire country because you don't like their video games? As far as countries go, Korea is pretty cool.
Now if you were to say, I don't like (insert name of any country from Middle East) because they don't produce anything of any use for any part of the world and are only known for spawning religious fundamentalists, then I would totally join that hate train. Then again, that probably would be a discussion better left for foxnews.com

You might have a point if faces in Korean games looked anything like Koreans, lmao.
yeah cant remember the last time i looked at a Firran and said "that looks like my neighbor!" though one of my uncles did look a bit like an orc from wow ^.^
All I got to say to the OP is welcome to the world of MMORPGs: where inbreeding is more common than with the guppies in my elementary school project detailing biological defects in fish.
LOL great post actually love to see the defenders try to defend the undefendable. As you said at the end, the game itself isn't bad its a great attempt at copying what's already been done a thousand times before and I can respect it for that.
I think most people miss the point of your post and think your just "attacking" their new love.

I think people just have issue with his initial statement of "Korea being insipid".
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
The only problem with Korean MMOs is that they're trying to copy the terrible plague that affeceted MMOs: WoW themepark model. Some games copy it more, others less.
I miss the old days of Lineage 1 - Lineage 2 - Ragnarok, when Korean games were hardcore and playable for years not the 2 months(or even weeks) lasting games we have today. I hope Lineage Eternal goes back to Lineage 1 style.

I'm not a fan of the game, and only played it a short time in beta so I'm not a fan. But what I see about his post isn't an attack on AA but an attack on all Korean games in general. Fine, I understand he doesn't like Korean art style and the games themselves, but to group the hate into the country is wrong.
Most of the things he "hates" are part of all games, Western or Asian, or whatever part of the world develops them.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

It was a bad word to use. They have a lot of value as a country, culture and people. Even though I do feel like a lot of their music and their video games falls off of an assembly line, I wasn't careful in my words, and made a blanket statement that was clearly incorrect. I'm sure if you are willing to dig deeper than Psy and Girls Generation; one would be well rewarded and enriched by the experience.

You dont like ArcheAge, i get that.
What i didnt understand is the title and the "korean games" in your text. ArcheAge doesnt represente "the korean games", its just one korean game.
If in your text you replace "korean games" for "ArcheAge" everthing makes more sense imo.
its like someone saying that hate west games because didnt like ESO.
So yes, your post is full of "preconception".
Not saying you dont have the right to hate all korean games, i just think its wrong the way you did it.
