Microsoft possible plans for Mojong?

  I have been curious at what possible reason Microsoft could have for picking up a game company who has made only 1 hit game which was a few years ago at that.  With the games already sold on PC, and the last gen of consoles along with them being sold on the newer ones what could be game plan?  The only real money left to be made is if Microsoft is going to be willing to run paid servers for people to play on.  The majority of servers I have seen have been terrible, and a lot of parents probably want a more controlled environment for kids to play on.  So there is money there..but I doubt 2 billion dollars.

This is the wrong forum. But I could see them overhauling development by a shit ton. The game is still immensely popular and paid expansion packs/DLC could bring in a lot of profit.

Mojang doesn't really develop a ton for the game besides mostly expanding to new platforms and slowly bringing them up to the same as PC.
