Kinda, you can grow up and have less time or games; essentially "growing out of games. But IMO if you're part of this community, games are a big lifestyle for all of us. We may make the excuse that we are growing out of it. But honestly you just need the right game. I've been on a hiatus for about 4 years of not having "that game". Until I bought Destiny where it's literally the best game I've ever played and for the first time in 7 years my friends agree too.

Well, we all change with time so it is very possible. Also the games have changed in one direction, if you are back in 1996 or have changed in another direction you and MMOs might not be on the same level anymore.
The world is actually pretty full of fun things to do though so if you don't enjoy MMOs anymore it might be time to get a new hobby you like more.
I still enjoy a few MMOs myself but I wish they would look more on pen and paper roleplaying games and less on computer RPGs and FPS games. P&P I enjoy as much as when I started playing a long time back even if getting a group is harder nowadays.
All these programs such as Breaking Bad, Dexter, Orange is the new black, my 20 something daughters seem to enjoy them immensely, and I try to watch and go.....huh?
I don't think you can generalize before your own preference. My elder son is 18, so I am more or less your generation.
And I love Dexter, Arrow, 24, Blacklist .. and many shows my kids enjoy.
Makes perfect sense, your gaming tastes are similar that generation rather than your own.

Sorry, but this one got me smiling. Personally, I have "grown" out of sports. No longer my svelte 6'1" 190 pounds, I am now tipping the scales at about 250 pounds and so out of shape that sports are a memory for me
I know that's not what you meant, but my mind just went there

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR

Besides, you're still 10 years behind me.
10 years is half a generation?
Yes, i have no problem with current gen entertainment. In fact, i like them better than my own gen. When I was 20, there was nothing like the Game of Thrones, or Dexter .... which i would say good story telling without any constraints (w.r.t. violence & sex).

LOL, there's at least one hint in my posts that I might not really be a fan of entertainment without constraints, particularly gratuitous sex and violence.
But to each their own, we all have our preferences.
But hey, in at least one area I've kept up to date, I listen to "new alternative first" internet radio stations, no "classic rock" for me. (strangely enough, my children enjoy that more than I do)

lol .. i was opposite in that. I don't listen to any recent music. Heck, i don't like music that much and all the music in my car (on a USB stick) is either anime, or ancient hong kong pop.
Guess we are different in almost all entertainment choices. Don't tell me you don't like The Avengers ... that will complete our opposite preferences.
