ESO has some really good stuff going for it. That being said, as I've always said timing has played a big part in ESO success. No big games on the horizon and ESO looks a lot better than the older. What I mean by that is if there was a sandbox that had a combat system, skill system and looked as good as ESO, I'd be gone. There isn't though and non on the radar for 2015.
That's what you said about Wushu yet you left it for ESO? Come on man. Seriously? Even I think Wushu is a more complete and more thought out game than ESO and you of all people know that's saying a lot.
The cash shop ruined Wushu so even a die hard fan can easily walk away if he is smart.
You could say I'm ESO curious; I haven't purchased it yet, but I've played on a friends account to see how it felt. It has so much promise, but for some inexplicable reason I couldn't get into it. I Have exceptionally high hopes for it though, and expect it to mature to a title I can really sink my teeth into.
Yep, tried out AA last night and some today, but I'll be back in ESO tonight after work AA isn't bad has a nice feel, good gameplay, etc.. But I still prefer ESO.

The reason I made the poll was that I was really tired of listening to the same people with very strong opinions of the game and instead looked for a broader response, and I am really happy that over 200 have responded in just a few days.
While polls like this one are always skewed, its interesting see that the results are so even for the three main options. If this would be the results after a month or two I would have been really worried about this game, but after six months it seems that the game really found its crowd.

I like ES games and this feels like one to me, but I will say that making solo RPG into MMOs is usually going to be a bad idea. It isn't a sandbox some say, or there are levels, or it isn't Skyrim Online.
SWTOR was an example of an IP being too big to please enough folks and ESO may have some that as well. SWTOR could never be a massive success right out of the gate because too many people wanted a completely different game than was discussed, previewed, shown, and posted about for a long time but for whatever reason it wasn't: SWG2, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Online, KOTOR 3, or well you name it.
I like ESO for what it is, not what I wanted it to be and that is a major problem with a lot of gamers these days. If their ideas are so awesome, they can start a company and develop their own game and then see just how awesome their ideas really are. Who knows, maybe the next great lead is out there and just doesn't know it.
ESO is like having a fat significant other with a pretty face. Theres potential there if you can get em in shape, but can you stand it in the meantime?
I was so excited for this title. Oblivion changed what I wanted out of video games and eventually led me to MMO's. The feeling I got when I escaped the prison and scanned the horizon to decide which direction to head hooked me on open world RPG's. The epic quests lead me to all the corners of the world and dark dungeons of danger filled me with an escapist mindset that I had never experienced before and have been searching for ever since (and occasionally finding). My biggest problem with ESO is the progression in the world is so linear and their is really only a tiny bubble in the world that makes sense for you to be in (excluding Cyrodil). In single player Elder Scrolls games, quests actually feel pretty epic a lot of the time. They could take a while and when you succeeded you felt like you accomplished something. Quests in ESO for the most part give you a little job a 30 second jog away and feel like a chore imo. And the quests (chores) just keep coming at you relentlessly. I realize this is basically just the way MMO's are designed and I am aware of the technical difficulties in creating an MMO that feels like a single player Elder Scrolls game. Unfortunately for myself, I've grown unfulfilled in playing games in worlds where the only other intelligence in the game is artificial. Maybe I would have gotten into it if I had stuck with it to the point where I was viable in Cyrodil, but I'm not a huge PVP'er (although I want it as an option to give more of a purpose to the PVE if that makes any sense). Anyways, that is my 2 cents. Maybe I'll try it again at some point and I'm genuinely happy that many Elder Scrolls fans are enjoying it.
ESO is one of my favs but sadly I had to cancel my sub.. For the past few months I was only able to play MAYBE 5 hours a month so I decided to cancel for now.
No, but really enjoyed it when it first came out. I still check the forums for a turn around.

It's my pvp fix right now. Much like DAoC was for many years. If I want to go PvP, I'll log in for a few hours from some castle sieges I usually log in like every other day. I wish I had more time to play though. I got WoW, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo 3, Destiny, Madden, and so many other games to play My weekends are filled for the next 10 years lol.
I can't wait for Thieves' Guild to come. I'll probably come back then and neglect all my other games lol.
Like most twitch games, I tire of them quickly. I migrated to RPGs for their cerebral challenge, not to challenge my motor skills. Unfortunately, I appear to be in the minority and neither CRPGs or MMORPGs seem to want to cater to my preference anymore.
I played for about two weeks at launch but decided to stop because the more I played it, the more I felt like playing one of the older actual Elder Scrolls games instead. Ever since Morrowind I have always had in game a house because I always murder the owner and take the house for my own. That always led to the Dark Brotherhood. Plus I steal everything in game so I always end up doing the Thieves' Guild quests. I can't do any of that in ESO. All I can do in ESO is what I can do in just about any other themepark.
I know a lot of fans feel that they can play their class any way they want. It's sort of true, however there are still class restrictions that you really didn't have in the other games. Some people are happy enough when they open a map and it's labeled "Tamriel". Others think that since you can read books in game that shares the same lore as the IP that it makes it an ES game. That's fine I guess however I need more than that. The devs have said they plan on adding the stuff, at least most of, what I feel is lacking which is great. I wish they had that stuff in at launch and I bet the devs do to now. When they do I will probably try again.
TLDR: We need a "might come back" choice on the poll
This is totally how i felt as a NON ES game its ok but as a ES game i found it highly lacking specially with archeage and its 140 class choice out now its far more sandbox then eso even

ur not alone alot of people are searching for this too i personally love games that require you to think with puzzles and other mind challanges i belive it was Rift who did this with them hidden chest things but even them were fairly easy but still that concept is great a MMO with puzzles like they got in Brainlord for the SNES that was one of my favorite RPG's ever and had so many killer puzzles.

I really liked Archeage till I reached level 30, then the non-consensual pvp stepped in and ruined it for me.

Nope, and I will not return. Its not interesting enough as a single player game, its not an mmo in my opinion.
Skyrim is a better Elder Scrolls game, and there is more fun mmo's out there if you like playing with friends.

Having got over some initial hurdles and jumped through some hoops, ESO is a very smart and polished game with a lot going for it.
I have started many MMOs and given up because it was a WoW clone and same old (I like WoW, but if there's a clone, I just play WoW).
ESO really grabbed me and it's developing very well.

You should have had 'no, but I intend to return' which would have been my answer.
As it stands the answer is 'no'.
Been playing Elder Scrolls Online for all most 2 months now and currently veteran level 3. I do enjoy playing all the Elder Scrolls games out there.
