In the very first day after launch, i saw several people in Archeage foruns and here saying that all lands were gone, that beaters took them all, that this was a issue that should be adressed, and so on. However, after almost 1 week of headstart, there was still plenty of land available (i placed my big farm yesterday in Windscour, in the Salphira Server, onde of the most crowded). I placed yesterday because i played only 2-3 days, because lack of time.
So, why do people spread this lie that there weren't more land available in the second day when, in the 6th day, i saw plenty of land available in one of the most crowded servers of the game?
And i don't intent to discuss if lack of land to everyone is a "issue" or not.

I just found land in Windscour yesterday as well on Tahyang. I thought I was doomed, but there was actually a good deal of land there.
Sure it's PvP territory, but this is a PvP game, it's not like I didn't anticipate being in these zones for a good chunk of my time anyway. Although I would have preferred to farm in peace without looking over my shoulder all the time, but hey.. the world is a scary place.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
It may be that you have differing definitions of what "available" means; if you mean PvP area land, there are good reasons why people would (correctly) view that as far worse than safer harbor land.
It may help to describe what you mean. If I get lucky and find a parking place in a crowded city downtown it doesn't mean that other people who couldn't find parking were lying.
A few enterprising guilds were able to grind out lots of stars for basic cottage designs. These were then used to reserve a lot of spaces at a much faster rate than we had previously seen in either alpha or beta. So land did disappear very quickly. However, those who did get a lot of claims are now starting to dump them. Some are trying to sell but also, many are simply letting go of the ones they don't need now that they have guildies setup and perhaps have placed larger houses where they want them. Taxes penalties start to rise quickly after 2 claims so it makes some sense that now as we approach one week from headstart and the taxes become due people will start to shave off a few of the spots they don't want as much.
The land did disappear, that much was true. The mistake people were making was thinking that things wouldn't start to settle out quickly.
You should also be able to expect a larger amount of land to come available when Auroria is opened. Many guilds will head north and while they are unlikely to get rid of everything they have in the south, they will do a lot of trimming to keep their taxes under control.
All die, so die well.
I helped 2 people find a spot for farms on Tues. night in my housing area in Gweonid. It's out there, you just have to take the time to look and it's sooooo much easier to complain. :P
I did a thorough search of Nuia PVP zones on morning #2 on Ollo and there was absolutely nothing in the marked areas. (No I didn't check for "all the hidden ones" because that's not a realistic search for someone who played Haranya in Alpha and Beta)
I had a house and garden on Two Crowns North Beach, but I had playgroup members who got nothing.
It seems Haranya PVP areas were the last to fill up. (Let's face it, Windscour was the armpit of the Universe in alpha )
EDIT "Land" in ArcheAge means "16x16 plots". There are thousands of 8x8 plots available.
I'm on Enla and being a casual I to was worried about this "land gone."
This afternoon I finally earned my scarecrow plot (yeah real casual). I found tons of space in PVE lands to build it. One entire homestead was completely empty! I ended up building on one that was half full.
I was scratching my head about this land gone... I figured maybe it was just the server I choose. Looks like others are finding similar things.
Was it whipped up crowd panic? Hopefully we can all settle in and play now!
Different severs means different experiences when it come to land availability. Trust me there is no conspiracy going on here.
