Patching System need overhaul!

I recently bought a 250 gig drive so I put all my mmorpgs on it cause I have room. I installed Horizons and have been trying to patch it for 3 days! It keeps downloading for like 10 minutes then times out. I have broadband, so I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. Maybe I should just download the CD from them and see if thats a better version. Either way, I seem to recall going through this same thing for a week when I bought this game for 4$ at ebgames cause I figured what the hell its only $4!

Are you recieving an error at all when trying to patch?
Are you behind a firewall?
If you download the trial you will still have to patch anyway.
I would suggest putting in a ticket at support.istaria.com, and provide as many details as you can.
One thing to check would be to make sure you have .NET installed (not sure of the required version right offhand) and are using IE as your browser. The technical forums at http://community.istaria.com/Web/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=5 may also be of assistance.

Read the login screen carefully. I forget the location but there is a new patching system in Horizons. They seem to be slowly moving toward a stand alone patcher.
I think that the option is in the top-right hand corner of the web page, but again, I'm going by memory and I'm not certain of its location.
Try giving that patcher a go instead of the default system.
